    Dear Nokia,
I think they should update Maps for Meego. All the other mobile with Symbian software has correct maps with latest changes. But N9 is still 5 years back.
I stay in Oman and the maps on N( for Oman is exactly 5 years old.

Yes,, this Firmware really need to get an improvement. The message font is too small, cannot be bigger or ajusted, the front cam is useless, there are no file manager to manage your files.. there are no pause button in video rec mode.. etc
just like a baby firmware who was born in this planet..

List of changes I'd love to have...
            1. Swipe to view next item should be extended to Contacts (detail view) and Wallpapers.
            2. Closing an application using swipe down should take me back to the grid of applications (and not to open applications as it does presently.)
            3. Stand-by Screen is way to bright at night. It will be great if it can be dimmed real low and brightens up if the phone is tilted face-down and up again (much like silencing an alarm or incoming call.)
            4. Include Calendar/To-do items in the feeds screen (better still, be able to pin one on Stand-by Screen.)
            5. Add services like Yahoo! Messenger, Linkedin, Wordpress etc.

jojo, 30 Nov 2011im nokia n9 user , how come until now nokia the photo and ... moreLodge a feature-request here:
                    http://harmattan-bugs.nokia.com/

If you explain it clearly, argue effectively, & get other users voting.
Then they "may" include the feature/s you want in 1.2 (more likely 1.3+).

dany, 30 Nov 2011I wouldn't be so sure about wp ... N9 is something special... moreThe limited no. rumors are BS...
There were ramp-up issues in the 1st mth+
But it's confirmed that output /day is at proper capacity for about 5wk now.

If it's not officially available in your country.
Then it'll always be pricier than competing ph's.
For the country's it officially available in (30-odd).
It's generally priced much more reasonably.

im a nokia n900 and motorola defy user, and i am very very impressed with nokia n9. it's made out of plastic but was from top-notch materials (unlike samsung plastics, yikes!) and is combined to a very pleasant MeeGo os that is even more optimized on hardware than android (no-no for wp7 tiles and symbian double-clicks). gotta ditch symbian, multitasking is good but somehow the UI and apps make it boring (and so is wp7). Long live N9! Long live Meego-Nokia! (long live motorola, too, from their top-notch hardware [defy and razr)

I have SGS2 and its perfect in every way.
Im buying N9 as well bcoz i believe in open software. If i had to choose one of those two , it would be Android.

sts, 29 Nov 2011actually it's funny that u say plastic androids many times.... moreBecause certain plastic made androids have the cheap plastic feel & did not last beyond 2 years(like mine) - which enforce the 'cheap plastic' opinion. N9 is plastic but good quality one, over the years Nokia has not disappointed me on durability. Meego is dead, so what, the phone can still be used, the community is coming out with the necessary apps. If the phone is dead, well....it's goner.

And btw, this is software update thread for N9, if you think Android is so great, there are scores of threads on Android
