Fitch! Report Rating0 You guys are too ignorant... Do you know how old Android 2.3 Gingerbread is? It's almost 2yrs old... You should be happy that Nokia releases major updates to S^3 phones every 6months & they also release minor upgrades almost every month... Symbian Belle is on par with ICS, iOS5 & WP7, and it needs much optimization to run on S^3 phones cuz they have an old GPU, CPU & R.A.M... So Nokia won't just push out a half-baked update to please just a few people... 5800 & N97 also get minor updates too, so I don't understand the lies that most of u are telling here... Android only rocks on High-End hardware, don't be fooled into buying a low/mid-range Android phone, cuz u'll regret it... The new Symbian Belle phones are very powerful, with no single lag, even reviewers applaud them. Don't come here & say rubbish becuz u have an internet connection... No one cares if you're leaving Nokia for Samsung or Apple...

I still love symbian. I know ios and android are great and powerful, have a massive app store, but none is as colourful as symbian which is symbian's hidden beauty. Belle is the most beautiful symbian ever... and in future no. of apps won't be a problem for symbian os due to cloud technology. Gaikai runs on all the devices having browser, since i own an unlimited 4mbps internet connection, gaming won't be a problem, just need a bluetooth gamepad which gaikai recognizes. I feel sorry for nokia which will abandon symbian in future. I own a x7 and eagerly waiting for the belle update.

I am still wondering why is this hatred and criticism for Symbian OS
i find it simple and easy to use
lets really look at things we use daily
Maps email whatsapp facebook honestly i really donot see too many people texting these days the use whatsapp a lot i do myself
but one thing i am sure all will agree is the durability of these phones..tough ones seriously..I like my N8 and yes updates could be a bit faster
I will not switch till they actually kill the platform

I am using symbian belle on my nokia n8-00 just flash my phone.. It's damn fast just to let you know guys!!!

Nokia has lost its glory ever since it moved to Anna. Music player is worse in Anna devices. I have used so many Nokia phones followed by Sony and Samsung Galaxy Ace and then returned to E6. But this was a blunder! I should have stuck to Ace. I have to resell my e6 to second hand market and then buy an android phone.

As per Skyee at Nokia Discussions, it's Nokia's policy not to give out estimates regarding software update availability. How can they announce Belle when Anna rollout is not even done yet. I got Anna last October 24.

Though being a long standing die-hard NOKIA fan,
I started thinking about how much they care
for their fans!
We are left behind far away from our rivals.
I think they are confused how they get forward,
throwing all symbian along meego, hugging WP 7.

Many predicted that knowing Nokia it would not be Oct/Nov but December! So yes, they have let down millions of user's!
There is no excuse because for example all new N8s come with Belle on. They are more focused on WP7 and the rest is secondary! The WP7 looks okay but for an average camera that lets it down. However, for me after this latest fiasco I can no longer be bothered about the update now and I am going IPhone! Cheers.
