Counterclockwise: the past and present of fast charging technologies

The U in USB stands for "Universal", but when it comes to charging it's anything but. USB Power Delivery has the promise to change that, however.

So there is no excuse for the low battery life today. You can even get 8 days with the s5, by rooting a custom rom. Still a phone that runs all apps from today.

Well oukitel K10 with 11 000 mAh battery for just 200 bucks have 5V-5A flash charge capable of charging this massive battery from complete zero to 100% in exactly 2 hours and 25 minutes. Thats also awesome.
And other specs of this phone looks very promising as well.

So even the chargers of 2014 Android phones are faster than Apple's in-the-box charger for the iPhone XS
Yet the claim still persists, that it allows the phone's battery in great condition even after so many years
Well, my sister's iPhone 7 Plus is already down on one knee and requires at least 2 charges per day with light to moderate use (mostly Twitter and other social media apps)

I like the Chinese brands' implementation of fast charging to be honest, instead of increasing the voltage they've decided to decrease the voltage and increase the amperage, allowing u to charge and use your smartphone at ease

Many people used their phones the same amount of screen time as today. Some teenagers sent sms to each other, over 10.000 times a month. Yeah, the parents were not happy about those bills.

Ther is also a fastcharge tech from meizu called mcharge last i heard itbgoes upto 55W but it isn't consumer ready

In the past charging took long, and the phones lasted for several days. Today they charge fast, and hardly survive a day. Even the smartphones back then, lasted at least 4 days on a single charge.
