I am from india. Having this optimus 2x and i am yet to receive the GB update. I saw the article wherein they said the update has released on Nov 1. And i call the lg customer care they said its yet to come to india.!! god knows for how long i should wait. frankly speaking i lost hope.!! should have got galaxy S2.!!

Well, the Optimus Black still has no GB update as of today, 28 December, and LG UK still has no information on when the update is going to be available! They are now promising ICS for next year Q3? Will probably be Q2 2013!!!

LG is full of lies! I already dumped my LG optimus black because of lack of updates that they promised a long time ago! Sure they make good phones but they suck with after sales..

To start i´d like to apologize for my faulty English.
I have my LG optimus for almost a year now. When I got the phone LG promised to have the update ready and out that summer. Now it´s december and still no update. I really hoped LG had changed but sadly this is not the case. Im glad i´ve got this phone with only a one year contract else I had to wait for another year to get a new phone. Sorry LG this is not the first time you delivered equipment that doesn´t work for a full 100 procent. I would really like to see a company who stands for quality and reliability. Sadly there aren´t many company´s that diliver quality. So LG this is my goodbye. HTC here I come :-p

they haven't even released gingerbread to the optimus black. they said 28 NOVEMBER. it's a month late and still waiting.

Sadly LG is a way too slow compared to any other company at the updates... WE dont need the special "LG user interface" but ICS upgrade would be really good. I bet that a custom rom update will arrive in a month.. its a shame on LG...

Lg market is not u.s however wait until lg know it can not sell mobile phone anywhere in the world. even korea, then they willing to do everything to get customer back like any other manufacture, release source code, hire xda member, release time frame for the update, etc. by then it would be too late. in adition, i am not even sure lg have mobile customer service office in u.s. if they do, they already understand mobile trends in u.s. lg will fall..
