No matter how much some people hate Apple or its products, this is the only company so far which is able to create this hype and crowds willing to get their hands on products. No where in the world other products get this type response. So for those who bash apple products or other brands too. Its time for them to grow up and stop taking it personally.

1. Most... moreFirst all all, its mostly low class dudes who are queing up to buy the China version of the phone. These are non-college educated guys who make about $300-400 a month salary.
Second of all, the people who buy this phone are people who like status. Just like in the USA. Who craves status in China? Kids, and the new rich. They are not thinking about how the phone is made. But really, Americans don't think about that either.
Note that no phone manufacturer probably is significantly better than others in how they monitor their supply chain. Apple maybe is a little worse than others because they don't do their own assembly work. But that's hard to quantify.
The question I'm interested in is... why do people so want this version of the iPhone 4S? They can get it so much cheaper on the grey market. They can get it cheaper at China Unicom. Why do they go to the Apple Store?

news from chinese website http://news.sohu.com/20120114/n332160262.shtml, more than 90% of those queuing people were hired from icrap marketing department to promote the sales, those people would get the commission of USD17 each. there are quite a lot of authorised sellers in China, there are no reason to queue up for. compared to 4, 4s is not that popular in china.

iPhone has android notification settings as SB settings from long time even b4 android changed interface of their notification system and many apps used that "top finger scrolling gesture to actIvate their app" just like u bring down notifications with fingers.
And then again all iOS 5 features are not supported by 3GS and remember that iOS 5 has 200 features and out of them maybe 2 or 3 not supported and galaxy S has that some value pack which means u can't call it ICS u have to call it modded 2.3.
Once go to Wikipedia and compare iOS and ICS features. They wrote in detail.
U can make windows vista look like windows 7 but u can't call it windows 7 instead u call it modded windows vista there is a difference.
New OS means it supports new API's and also improves security , and u can run any latest app.
And Apple gets profit very high.
Profit from selling one mac laptop = profit of 7 HP laptops once google it if u want.
Similarly smartphones also apple gets the highest profit of all.
Yet everyone trying eagerly to copy MacBook air with Samsung 9 series.
