I do not understand anything please help me a bit. After Wave 2 will receive the highly anticipated and coveted Bada update to OS 2.0? Or will it be compatible with Tizen?

Tizen would be for another product for sure since Samsung is on the race to beat Nokia as the number 1 phone manufacturer. So disappointed with Samsung on their Bada support. Wave s8500 is a great device loaded with decent OS but Samsung failed to back it up with good updates and good apps. Its heartbreaking to leave my Wave s8500 behind and go for other devices that offers much more.

Really good news for those good at HTML......what about the bada development then??? Will Samsung support Bada long?? What about those devs who are seriously "in"to Bada? I hope there are good answers for these questions.

Samsung may redeem itself with merging tizen and bada. I"m a fan of unique operating systems. Unfortunately samsung treated bada users in a not so ideal way.

Very happy with my Wave 1, nearly 2 years already. I knew from the start Bada had no future compared to Android but the phone was exceptional:at that time: great built quality, good battery, 5 Mp camera, 720p recording, fast processor, for a very low price, etc... But now time to move on. SE Nyphon seems very great for my next phone.

[deleted post]Yeah, wave1 was released in april. But wave2 seven months later. And galaxy s (july) has witnessed two updates in froyo n gingerbread. Waves have just recieved bla-bla from samsung. Wave2 came with v1.2, n despite samsung showcasing v2.0 last mwc, n making its first promise (in the series of many fake ones) that wave2 would get that update in july. It still stands on v1.2. If they delay some update by 6 months, n then say the device is too old, then........ May god save tizen. Its doomed from the word go.

utouh, 16 Jan 2012wth samsungs thinking, please dont replace the bada os, the... moreSamsung HAVE to make and promote wp7 devices to be allowed to make Android devices. Android is not free you know, the manufacturers pay royalties to MS and to get discount on ANdroid they had to agree to promote WP7. But Samsung didnt have to make Bada, so thats the one to cancel, and you have to be honest and admit that Bada is more defective than wp7.

LoL, what say all you bada fans now? Didnt we tell you from the beginning that Bada was born dead? Having had the "pleasure" to try a Bada phone i was never in doubt that it was a unusually defective OS and that Samsung would not follow up on it to make it work some day. Yes, cancellation was their only way out. Now we have to hope and pray that Intel has done their part so the defects and serious shortcomings of Samsungs Bada failure project will not be inherited, then we could end up with a new Android clone that keeps the defects from previous versions and introduces new problems in every new version.

Another reason not to buy Samsung again. When I bought the Samsung wave, we hoped for new apps, bada 2.0, but now this OS is discontinued. Nice comercials, they get your money and then they forget about you. Not to mention value for your money if you want to sell the device one year later... Never again samsung, sorry

Samsung has no concern for the 8 million Bada users. They have taken them for a ride. The apps that have been created till date,None of them can be put to daily use except for Picsel Office. No whatsapp, No skype, No Google Talk with voice chat, No video chat apps, No VOIP, the list goes on. We are talking abt basic apps.
They have been testing the patience of users since 2010.Bada 2.0 was gonna be in store by Q4 2011.At present,Samsung Italy and Spain say its gonna be by Q1 of 2012.I dont see Bada 2.0 reaching India before Q2 of 2012.
Bada 2.0 has allowed integration of apps with Android,Windows and iOS.Now they say Bada is gonna discontinue and no probability of Tizen with Bada.
Cheap strategies of Samsung. Dirty Game! Really bad.

Where do we stand in the whole picture? I mean wave1/2 users. Will we get a tizen change-over? If not, more importantly, more number of useful apps/hd games? But million-dollar question is "when"? Two years of bada, n no sign of voip coming in another two years. And one more thing, if samsung thinks that bada sufferers gonna buy a tizen mobile, i m afraid their executives need anti-psychotics. They are living in a kind of delusion or are having bizarre hallucinations.

I am using a Samsung Wave 1 for quite sometime now. We were promised upgrade to Bada 2 by the end of Dec, as of 16 Jan still no word... I was waiting to see what Bada 2 would be like and if good I would consider looking into Wave 3 at end of Jan when my contract renews. But it was doubtful as the updates have been pathetic and too slow from them (1 real update in a year to ver 1,2). Also Bada could not do skype or whatsapp or angry birds or google maps with gps etc etc. But now after this move I will get a iPhone and not go back to Samsung they have burned their bridge! They treat customers badly, I can think of them not bringing updates to the galaxy 1 as another example...
