iphone 4s and sgs2 are two great phones enough said
two phones have their own uniqe features sgs2 ultra colurful screen 4s sharp screen

i have both the iphone 4 and samsung Gs2, speed wise they are the same but i can do more with the GS2 and the bigger screen is what most people like, the GS2 is cheaper to buy and when its updated soon to ICS my GS2 will be faster at loading web pages, this has already been proven in some reviews.
iphone 4s is popular in the USA but loosing market share ever were else.

There is something different about IOS in they way Apple engineers write the software,,The iphone 4 was fast on one core and 512MB RAM and beat most of todays fones in sunspider test and web page rendering..It took Samsung dual 1.2GHz proccessors and 1 GB of RAM to nearly reach same speed..I have had both but in real use the Iphone is consistently fast..This can only be down to superbly written software and not graunt from powerfull hardware.
The sgs2 is a good fone but just too big FOR ME.I said the last two words in capitals because that is what counts..Its you whos using the phone day in day out its no good spiting yourself buying big smartfone if all you do is text and make odd phone call.Of course YOU can buy anything you like its your money and if you want iphone to just talk and text then who cares..
What surprises me and someone mentioned it earlier and that all folk of all ages and income are using one,BUT,in times of no money how come even chavs have iphones??

...except their sales are blowing through the roof, millions more people are buying iPhones every quarter there are more iPhones than any other smartphone.

Although i own a SGS and i like Android and not iOS, i must say: GOOD JOB APPLE :)
A phone that sells is a good phone (but still GALAXY S II is much better :P)

i don't think so, most who had iPhone, had iPhone 3gs or older and for them it's not minor update.
Same for iPad users, i don't think first iPad users changed for iPad 2, of course some have.
Also i think most of those iPhone 4S owners are new customers for Apple.
Also one reason might be that for example in my country you can sell your old iPhone 4 with very good price and get iPhone 4S with small amount of money if you want to do that change. iPhone has much better re-sell value than any other mobile phone out there.

congratulations apple..!! but one can't stop wondering, how is iphone 4s which looks exactly the same as iphone4 with minor update such as dual core plus siri can still arouse their loyal customers.. is this what they call good marketing? or their customer never care about the money they spent on apple product?

Wake up consumers, Iphones cannot even reliably function as a phone. Calls disconnects, audio deteriorates and internet connections intermittent. Get yourself an Ipod instead if u like the apps.
