its a good decision to move Nokias manufacturing to Asia,As far as the issue of the real market is there are no fears because all the major players in the technology field are manufacturing thier products in Asia instead of the REAL markets which are located thousands of miles away from there.

The end of Nokia has begun.

Cause let's face it, axing jobs is not a sign of growth. Kinda like moving back into your parents' house is not a sign that your life is on track.

BlueHeart the illest, 08 Feb 2012if the software is ur problem the why are u turning ur back... moreIt's not just the software. When you give 650+ Eur for a phone that has factory error with the power chip and the camera cover that scratches from the protection cover you'll understand what i am talking about. I'd love to have Nokia 800 or Nokia 900-910 when they arrive but the fear that i can again spend all the money for some epic Fail like with the N97 is too great. If i'm sure that Nokia doesn't make those mistakes again i'd get that over any Samsung, Iphone or Sonyany time.

BlueHeart the illest, 08 Feb 2012I own a N97 mini designed in finland but made in china. and... moreNo my N8 is definitely made in Finland. As for the N97 the problem was actually with the charging port after the second repair they did it was deemed not viable for repair And the damage was to poor workmanship. Yet no one would take responsibility for the work done. As for the OS I agree was not the best that Nokia have released but mostly for the poor memory handling. As I knew my way around that short fall I could confidently say the problems I was experiencing with those handsets was not the OS. As for my experience with made in China extends beyond mobile devices since I work in the design and manufacture industry. China is capable of manufacturing well assembled products but only under constant inspection.......in other words having to babysit them to ensure your products were indeed built to your spec and shortcuts were not taken and inferior materials were not used in place of What you specified to use......

@gsmarena only america and united kindom are not the only markets! India and China alone have bigger market than USA and UK. And nokia will profit more in Asia than USA and UK.

NOKIA should consider to stay with simple phones. I tried all models and must say the new smartphones are big failures N85 E6x all of them not running well. Now I own 5800 total mistake to market this model

In my opinion, there Meego/Maemo OS is better than Android... Restore them in Nokia phones, with the built quality of N9 & they would be back in the race!

Maybe cause I know the way Nokia outsource, which is different from the way Apple outsource...

Clam shell, mforgot model, color dropped after 2 week...
Black e7 color disappeared around display after 1 months...

                                        unfortunately,
Windows Phone will not get competitive enough to allow it to battles Android and iOS top-dogs.

aside from Windows Phone's beautiful UI, the OS itself still has many disadvantages that keep people away from buying any phones with Windows Phone in it.

                                        so this move is useless,
                                        Nokia waits for nothing.
