Cool, but why 2013, you would think with intels' knowhow they could pump them out sooner, can't wait for an intel-chip phone running W8.

wrong.... SGX544 and SGX543 basically the same but SGX544 has faster directx 9 +L3 thats it so the improvement wont be that much i say 5-12% improvement over SGX543

thats it.now ARM BEWARE,INTEL IS COMING.intel architecture is much much better than arm architecture.intel is the king of microprocessors.intel has already slapped arm based processors with same os.

so these are not ARM processors, right? don't know how these will fare with compitition especially that they are still to come in 2013, but i know that ARM processors are more energy effecient with power consumption about 0,2-0,4 W, while atom processors use more than 7W,, i don't know if they managed power consumption here but with such numbers they'd only be suitable for tablets with 4000mAh and above!

AnonD-8929, 28 Feb 2012krait will offer 4 cores @ 3.5 dmips/mhz with upto adreno 3... moreleaving aside the 2013 aspect, I would say hyper threading has an advantage than putting an extra core, so is the turbo boost.

Intel - i am so eager to see you in the upcoming mobiles. especially the Atom Z2580 with hyper threading is the right direction to technology.
Hyper threading should Help in better multitasking abilities in a smartphone and turbo boost handle the heavy load tasks.
hope to see manufacturers taking this chipset and releasing suitable models soon.
WP8 and Android 4 should have good benefit. How to handle the heat produced by these cores?

krait will offer 4 cores @ 3.5 dmips/mhz with upto adreno 330 by that time(1q 2013)..Medfield stands where????
1.8 ghz against 2.5 ghz,2 cores against 4,x86 against arm.....

hopefully to see this in iPhone, Samsung Galaxy lineup and most of mobile phone. This really do kill Arm chips like the older days where same occurs with IBM chips.
