But incremental upgrades aren't enough to catch up to the market leader, Apple.

The VP of the telephony services used Android and so did most of the techs in IT.
So I think Android is excepted by technical management.

Single core performance is a downgrade, and multi core is... come on it didn't beat last year's iPhone :/

Company executives would not be using iPhones as their main phones if Android was good enough.

The base Galaxy Fold has 512GB storage
The base Note 10 has 256GB

So the base Note 10 has 4 times more storage than any base iphone.
Of course with a phone that comes right from the start in it's cheapest configuration with 256GB you don't really need SD card support but for a phone that comes with 64GB base storage it would be quite welcomed and even necessary.

What phones Samsung or google executive use is irrelevant, they have enough money to buy any phone and I'm sure they have more than one phone anyway. This is just a desperate attempt to give the iphone the impression of superiority.
The fact that Bill Gates uses an Android phone is irrelevant for android fans for example.

"While the Apple competitor executives know whatÂÂ’s best, iPhone. :)
Anyway, hopefully one day these Android chips will catchup and then maybe the executives will try to like Androids use them."

LoL so you are suggesting that people buy iphones because of the Geekbench scores? Astonishing.

Antioch, 06 Dec 2019Why aren't you shifting over, completely, to Geekbench 5, i... moreGive me a break. What do you think Huawei can say in this case? Oh we didn't use the superior Cortex A77 cores because we didn't have time, or we weren't able to properly implement the architecture so we decide to use the older A76 design in order to finish the processor in time for the phone launch? Of course they won't say this.

As Qualcomm showed the A77 core is clearly more efficient than the A76 core, it clearly has better IPC. This will help in general with any workload. The performance bump is 20% but I bet that certain workloads will see higher performance improvement especially workloads where the A76 performed poorly. That 20% is just the average.
Also Qualcomm improved the sustained GPU performance which is great news for people that like mobile gaming.
They made significant improvements in camera performance and features and basically doubled the AI performance.

So actually the SD 865 is quite a decent improvement overall vs the SD 855.

Nobody needs 960fps that records for a measly few seconds, thatÂÂ’s useless.
Nobody wants MicroSD expansion thatÂÂ’s why the Galaxy Fold, standard Galaxy Note10 and Galaxy S10 5G donÂÂ’t have it, itÂÂ’s old, insecure and slow.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

Nobody records 960fps slow motion for hours. The idea is to slow down everything to capture that one moment which your Toy phone can't. And yeah I can save thousands of such videos coz Android has expandable storage and Otg to offload all those videos.

Don't worry your outdated OS will get these things in 2030.
Till then keep dreaming about these features and enjoy that ugly notch.

Intersting scores , though expected. New SOCs are faster and exciting. We would lke to see their true performance though, by letting them compute large and sustained mathematical loads, rendering loads etc. At the end of the day we see them as computers. No-one is interested how many milliseconds faster they will load a broswer or a lightweight app(as the majority of mobile apps are). We want them to see their capacity at really lifting loads. This way , we will understand their true performance when under maximum power requirements. A standard cpu can go from 3 all the way to 6+ Ghz. At 6, it will be quite faster than at 3. We are facing about the same problem when evaluating SOCs . For all intents and purposes we examine them "overclocked", not how they would perform if heavilt strained for , let's say , an hour.

Only people who buy cheap Androids and dont own tablets and a proper computer, need all that.

Us Premium Buyers enjoy an efficient OS, backed by the best Ecosystem, with long term updates, high quality software and the best Camera experience.

There is a good reason why Apple products are used in Aviation and Medical field, not cheap unreliable Androids that need 12GB RAM to run smoothly.

All those things you listed are to compensate for poor software build. How long can your crapDroid even record at 960fps? A few seconds at best? Useless!

Bottlenecked by less RAM (in multitasking), bottlenecked by lower screen refresh rate (in gaming) and most importantly bottlenecked by the OS which fails to deliver features like split screen multitasking & 960fps super slow motion recording even if the chipset is capable of it.

This is why A13 Bionic is useless. Now if it was running on Android, it's real power could be harnessed.
