the success of lumia 900 is 80% because of its big screen 4,3 inch with good resolution wich was long awaited by nokia fans. all nokia models until now have maximum 4 inch with 640 x 360 low resolution. lumia 800 was too small and expansive to be appealing to nokia fans wich already have e7,x7,n9

The 800 was flawed, the 900 makes up a little bit for this, but the operating system is dead before it even started. It's a closed system, with applications that are far too expensive, to the point where it makes iPhone apps seem reasonable. Nokia have put a lot at stake with this venture away from an ageing symbian, and i think they should have gone cap in hand to Google. As it is, they are producing previous gen phones for the next gen market, and whilst people don't neccessarily need the power of a One X, or and S3 or an iPhone 5, because they are available (or will be) they will always sell better, because in the general consumers mind bigger (or more powerful) is better.
And yes I have used a lumia 800 for a good while, and it was a painful and awful experience, i'll stick to my iPhone any day thanks.

In a country where Nokia brand has been vanishing since maybe 2004, it's a very very good start, you can't get a better option for 100$ on-contract I think. But I still think the international version will be overpriced (IIRC it's 480EUR without taxes)!!

AnonD-24476, 09 Apr 2012I can understand your frustration & insecureness... But... moreWell said. Android fanatics always flood every Nokia news because they are insecure and they know that deep inside, their beloved OS is fundamentally flawed, buggy, and malware ridden. All of the flaws of Android are strong points of WP7.5 and the Android fanatics knows this and that is why they feel threatened by WP. They know that WP's success could mean the decline of Android as both platforms compete and have the same business model.

Dave, 09 Apr 2012And Nokias OS is rubbish that is why they used Windows 7Not rubbish, Symbian is a very functional OS. Iphone users should get an ipod n android users is left with a dead brick that doesn't last through the day, useless.
                          Rely on NOKIA!

you are all so cute and stupid arguing here alltogether. the fact is gsmarena's news about nokia always make the biggest audience, the most controversed opinions, the greatest love stories. this is the clearest thing to prove nokia is still the most wanted, the best seller overall. the number of comments at nokia news are 10x higher than any other news

yeah, some people think mobiles are about how much apps are there, or how many cores.
but i prefer quality over quantity and im sure a lot of people beside me think so too.
this is where nokia comes in, with NO wifi, call, gps, screen problems to mention, whereas other brands always make the news with hardware or security issues. i wouldnt feel comfortable with such a bad reputation, no matter how much apps does it have. the way i see it, more apps installed on phone, less privacy you get (almost every app can access your files, contacts, location,...)

im not saying wp7 is the best, but its sure as hell better than hillbilly android

Anonymous, 09 Apr 2012 keep it in your dream USA love android more th... moreThat will soon change as WP starts eating Android's marketshare. The WP and Nokia tandem will prove to be a potent partnership and the Android OEMs will see declining sales just like HTC, Sony, and LG.

You are just a Nokia hater who thinks that Android is the best. It's time for you to wake up to reality that it isn't. WP is already better, safer, and smoother. With WP8 release later this year, Android is in trouble.
