Do not make your handsets cheap. Make your service cheaper instead.

Except for decent speed dial ability. This phone is pathetic.

sales guy , 18 Apr 2012the wifi will still just be as fast 3G has nothing to do with it if the device supports wifi hot spot, what is the use without 3g? the device needs to connect to a source to provide internet access as a hotspot, right? so the source now would be EDGE or GPRS as the case may be, depending upon the availability of network in any given location. So even when you connect to the bb wifi hotspot, the speed of the internet will be the same which is provided by the network provider.... So what is the use of the hot spot? If a device that is trying to connect to the hotspot is wifi enabled, might as well, insert the sim card directly into that device instead of using the hotspot, that will save battery on both the device.... All bb is trying to do is to sell a low end device with some fancy (read as good for nothing) application....

No 3G, only EDGE, the whole point of having a hotspot is lost. How can a company launch a non-3g smartphone in 2012 @ USD200 pricetag! BB has truly lost the script.

I had been to the launch party of bb,

Its very slim and lighter in weight.
BB OS 7.1 is superb, supports wifi hotsport, nfc and other good features.
