bs bs bs, 03 May 2012All that buzz around nokia's 41mp wonder. who needs that on... moreDo you even know the incredible technology behind PureView?

Its a one-of-its-kind, a point and shoot camera that takes pix comparable to a mid-range DSLR.
The 41MP are oversampled to 5MP / 8MP with amazing results. Look at some of the samples on GSMarena.

Please do yourself a favor and don't disclose your ignorance in public.

AnonD-3575, 02 May 2012feature wise, this phone cannot be beat at the moment. sma... morewow haters are jealous of some of your features...like what? opera mini? very rich nHD i mean HD in "nano mode" resolution? hard-to-upload 12MP snappers that are no match to my eos?

heck i can make my friends and haters jealous by buying LG Optimus 3D, yes, by means of 3D, or maybe by having hundreds of thousands of games (iPhone 4s), or by making a video underwater (Moto Defy), no-screen button satisfaction (Nokia N9), or by making my screen gigantic (Galaxy Note) or by having 14hours of video playback on a 4-inch screen (Razr Maxx), now thats what can make people jealous

and you know what??? ALL OF THEM are faster, better and less hang-up prone than your beloved N8.. after all, smartphones nowadays are required to be efficient in your everyday life, no need to hard reset due to low memory, no browsing nighmares, no lag, no unreadable and untext-able small screens, and virtually no limitations

..not to mention your orphaned OS is soon to be dead!

          sayonara!

                Cooool.
Sooner this arrives, the sooner the tech will be refined and put into a WP8 handset. WP8 + PureView = pretty much all my portable tech needs covered.

bs bs bs, 03 May 2012All that buzz around nokia's 41mp wonder. who needs that on... moreYou are perfectly entitled to have a phone that just functions as a phone if that is what you want. I want a phone that also takes photos because when I am wrestling with my 3 year old son I might want to take a good photo of him but I do not want to have a DSLR flopping around my neck. Funny, different people have different needs from a device. You want a single purpose phone, that is your choice but why do you care if other people want more or that Nokia wants to cater to those people better than any other manufacturer.

All that buzz around nokia's 41mp wonder. who needs that on a phone? phones are phones and cameras are cameras. besides the camera the phone is quite lame. ugly, fat, horrible, and what's the deal with symbian os? why are they trying to revive that dead horse again and again?? do some homeworks and learn from samsung.

Here in Brazil Nokia has about 85% marketshare, but I think they won't sell many PureViews. It will cost 1.699 BRL or 900 USD. Insane price!! The N8 costs 800 BRL or 420 USD. So N8 is a better deal with its great 12 mp AF camera, sleek metal case and reasonable weight (34g less than the heavy PureView 808)

I think all fanboys and Nokia haters should accept the fact: that the 808 is unparalleled when it comes to mobile-phone imaging. No phone even comes CLOSE to the image quality that this phone churns out. The only downside is Symbian. I hope they implement the technology on a Windows-phone device. For I can live with Windows Phone (which I do like, by the way), but Symbian...nah!
