Apple killed the mobile phone market.
We have less healthy competitors than 5 years ago, a less variegated scenario and hundreds of phones which are all alike (a screen with a bezel around)...

that's really shocking numbers, totally explainable though,, apple not only sells too many, but but they make highest profit per phone, and Samsung are selling most (all models including non smart phones) but they make less money per phone in order to be more competitive against apple and others. Nokia are selling more devices this year than the last ones (especially in the US), but their making less profits as they're putting their devices on sale prices (right from the beginning actually!) in order to make WP more popular, they even shot N9 in the foot for that reason. HTC make high profit per phone but they weren't quiet popular last year, and SE, LG, Motorola and RIM had really bad sales in the past couple of years! But 99%!. Man that's just extra ordinary!

People be realistic!! You can't believe in everything your read!! I don't doubt Samsung and Apple has the greatest profits at the moment, but I doubt Apple can keep this way, Android Market share is booming and it's not just Samsung playing on that ground, this is more of a opinion manipulation to sell stocks, sooner or later there will be a stock crash on Apple shares, I believe this article is to someone get rid of millions of recently bought Apple Shares, since in early April Apple stocks reached 640 US Dollars and Today 04-05-2012 they are 581 US dollars, so it's a 10% drop in a month!!!!! So be more critical in everything you read and see! That the force will be with you all ;)! lol

It's nice to see how things changes with time. And every empire rise and falls. So will be and it is is with all companies and no one is immune to this. Nokia was 14 years on top. now it's time for apple...then samsung...But the users should buy what they need not who profits most! :) I'm waiting for My Nokia 808 :)

waiting for the nokia fanboys to make noise...
if nokia went for android, it could have been a 3-way race. nokia hw is hard to beat. yet they dropped symbian (their best bet), jumped from meemo, meego then went for microsoft. why, even samsung will tell us that android is what made them big... not windows, not bada.
