Abandon budget smartphone is a bad move for HTC. HTC's smartphone market share especially android has been eaten by Samsung and Apple due to over price and poor battery life. In order for HTC to continued surviving they must find way to reduce the cost and also improve the phone features such as battery life and also offer expanded memory such as MicroSD up to 64G.

What an arrogant company! What makes HTC as a premium image? HTC using same OS with Samsung, Sony, etc
Wanna make a difference between same league? Samsung is more humble
One more thing: Apple's is the only one -overpriced- which has a high prestige

Good for HTC. I come from an emerging market (Argentina), and we are always flooded with budget low-spec versions of every piece of technology (cars, gadgets, etc.)

HTC one x....excellent features, very good phone. but display size???..not satisfied.
what a decent look will be!! If the htc compnany reconsider its display size like a very popular, hot, slim, samsung galaxy note phone. one of them popularity reason is biger size, large display 5.7".

I will support your idia, Mr.Chou . HTC's bad support is a brand reputation for a long time. Can anyone remember HTC Desire which HTC decides to abandon its support just 9 months from its release? I hope it won't happen to One X.
HTC should release only high end devices. And when there are newer devices released, those old devices will enter low-mid end range automatically. That way HTC can give users a long-term support like Apple does.
