22 June, 2012

I like Blackberry because of its cheap data cost but really its useless. Why will I buy a phone that is testing a touchscreen technology when other OS have perfected it? A phone with less Apps than java phones.

Those that said hardware keyboard is faster should try swype technology in touchscreen devices... I have used the both and I'm not going back to hardware keyboard.

One thing good in BB is that, there is no Gulu, no N0kian lover, no Apple maniac, no Samsonian.

With WP8 having a core level enterprise integration. it will be for sure fatal for RIM not to adapt WP OS or to go with android and BUILD ENTERPRISE INTEGRATION [which will take time beyond their grave.]

Only way for BB to get into the game is offer something superb at a great price. If quadcore and a 12 mpx camera with at least a 4.5 inch screen with a slim design, i think they could have a winner on their hands..only if they keep it under 300$

The Post reads that the First Blackberry 10 Device will be Touchscreen and Media Centric, this appears to contradict with earlier online Articles, suggesting that Blackberry/RIM were going back to Grass Roots and only concentrating on Business Phones - Im Confused . . . .

Raduljica, 23 Jun 2012typing on the solid keyboard will allways be faster than on... moreSome people can type much faster on a virtual keyboard, reason is feather touch, with no need to press down on physical keys, causing mini lag with each letter.

typing on the solid keyboard will allways be faster than on a touchscreen, the main reason is that you have to LOOK at the virtual keyboard, but not with a solid keyboard

With hardware keyboard you don't have to look at the keys while writing. That's a huge bonus when you need to look at something else while writing. Plus there's no real feel in virtual keyboard.

I'll take real keyboard over virtual any time.

And really back in those days, WM 6.5 did have a pretty good share of the smartphone market, and Symbian was dominating. So judging by then, WM 6.5 was a really good smartphone OS.
The first version of iPhone OS didnt support apps, should you then say iPhone is worthless today, since today its all about apps, and iPhone did not have support for that, back when...

Now WP8 will share core with Windows 8, meaning that the same apps can be used on both, with just some work to the UI part.
Thats a really good thing. And now there is reason for manufactors to invest in the WP platform, it wasnt during the 7/7.5 releases, those werent good smart-phone OS itterations.

The iPhone, although still beeing the most sold smartphone has lost some of its reputation of beeing the best (I would argue it never were), but I hear kids, and trendy girls saying that samsung is better (samsung, not android).
I dont think users are that tied in, so I think MS has every chanvce to start taking chunks of the market shares.
Rim (Black Berry) will have very hard times ahead, since its not in as strong position with a cross platform ecosystem. Rim could port their OS to linux, and start pushing it as a desktop business solution, and then in the end make its way over to consumers.
