Anonymous, 25 Jun 2012LMFAO! Symbian is the most laggy and buggy of them all. ... morewhat a stupid ppl that they are fooling their self by using and defending of android shit, i recently exchanged my beautiful nokia 603 with xperia neo v. and i was very regreted that millions of ppl using this dangerous and power hungry os,when i started using android in xperia which had 512 mb ram and 1ghz processor , this shit os couldnt even manage to run two apps at same time, whenever i wanted to switch between apps ,other apps automatically closed and all of my progress was lost ,and out of 512 mb ram only 100 mb is free, what a joke!!! battery dnt ever think about it , within an hour battery was empty, and phone was heated that i couldnt hold it in my hands, ppl that are talking about apps , most of android apps are malware, adwares or spywares, so finally i again exchanged this shit android phone whith a lovely nokia 701 which can run 50 apps Simultaneously, i will never get an android device again.and another joke , whenever i wanted to switch off net data shitdroid was telling me "you may have switch the the net data but some apps will use it"so what is the meaning of this????

yooyoo , 24 Jun 2012atleast lg or htc r not laying off their employees numberin... moreThat's because those companies never even pretended that they could assemble their products in a first world, developed country.

Nokia has left a lot of money on the table doing things that, in my opinion, make them a far superior company for me to hand money to.

For instance, manufacturing phones in Finland where their workers have houses to go home to rather than dorm rooms. Also, not monetizing their customers personal data.

Stupid, stupid business strategy from a profit perspective, but a better company for it.

The 808 may have got an upgrade already but many Nokia 700 users have been waiting three months and we have *still* not got Belle FP1 for our phones

                Terrible support by Nokia!

Popiteal, 24 Jun 2012Symbian OS is laggy and you know it but you want to cover f... moreWho's really being the silly fanboy here.

Symbian OS isn't laggy at all. It's far more efficient and faster than Android. Symbian is most likely the fastest, most efficient and feature rich OS around. With that single core 1.3 GHz ARM 11 CPU, Symbian already flies. Put that same CPU to Android and see if it's able to fly with it (it isn't). Let alone put Android to N8 and see how utterly unusable it becomes. Why do think they use those fast power hungry multi-core CPU's with Androids and are forced to put over 2000 mAh batteries with them to even get by one single day if even that?

808 is really the first Belle phone with a properly clocked CPU in it. N8 has a lowly 680 MHz ARM 11 and it's still manages to be smooth enough with it. Try how well Android does with that 680 MHz ARM 11. I can tell that the words to descibe the experience aren't smooth or fluid. Laggy and slow are the correct terms.

Anonymous, 24 Jun 2012Numerous times have I seen DSLR on the comments. The Nokia ... more"A smartphone and a very-capable-that-can-beat-most-P&S camera in one."

Correction, 808 beats all point & shoot cameras easily. 808 is right there with the 1000€ DSLR's and even higher than that, when using the 5 or 3 megapixel modes. Being able to match Canon's 4000€ 5D Mark III in quality was something totally unexpected, mind boggling and incredible achievement from 808.

S3 close to 808? News flash blind boy, they aren't even in the same galaxy. 808 is a quantum leap ahead of everything else in phones. It'll be years, if ever, when the competition starts to catch on 808's enormous lead.

Your eye sight has to be in very poor condition. You should go to a doctor and try to fix it.

Sram, 23 Jun 2012Im waiting for a complete windows 8 phone with xenon flash ... moreYou'll be waiting that for nothing. There won't be PureView in WP any time soon and when (or if, because Nokia is likely to go bust) they have some kind of PureView version, it'll be nothing like what is in 808. WP version will be stripped down, with small sensor and most likely with LED flash.

Proper PureView with big sensor and Xenon flash will require thickness and additional kick ass processor for the camera, both of which won't happen in WP devices. MS want's WP phones thin and most likely won't support that extra processor doing the heavy lifting.
