    ***LENOVO P700***

    PROS
    1. dual-sim..
    2. 2500 mah battery(has battery optimization)..
    3. ics(you can tweak many things with this phone to optimize settings etc.)..
    4. good camera without flash..
    5. can play radio with speaker w/out connecting headset also can record but not that good as expected..
    6. stand-by time is great.. it could last 2 days moderate use. or a day and a half for a heavy user.
    7. micro sd card

    CONS
    1. build quality is fair enough
    2. charger seems to fit china-phone rather than Lenovo's.. im using LG charger or htc charger instead
    3. headset is not that good also
    4. no camera flash
    5. slytly heavy bcoz of the battery

i am sorry i havent experienced other dual sim droids but ill go with this phone..

Wow! Simply amazing. Personally I think this phone comes second only to the Razr Maxx. Just hope the GPU is a PowerVGR SGX540 or an Adreno 220.

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2012Single core Android yea it's going to lagTroll ahoy!
FYI, it's not CPU that causes Android to lag (and I know lag very well, I own a SGS1). But it's the RAM that causes lags. The moment my phone hits 50MB of free RAM threshold it start lagging, so this phone will be really smooth with its enormous RAM and will last for a few days (maybe even up to a week with nice custom ROMs and kernels (if the bootloader will be unlocked that is)).

what is the point of having a slim phone with all the hi-fi features if the battery doesn't hold up even half a day. Like philips and motorola, the smart(phone) companies should come up like the droid versions - the slim droid(1780 mAh) and droid maxx (3300 mAh), allowing the user to select.

Which is my point, you do agree with me, and that is what i meant, the software - or the user experience - is the most important thing, if the software fast and smooth then the CPU or the hardware does not matter.

A multicore approach saves power and reduces the need to have single processors set at high clocks which would obviously waste power. Multicore processors have a higher efficiency rate (Like the Tegra3 with its 5th companion core). Single, Dual or Quad core will not matter if the software can take advantage cannot take advantage of such (Which was the case with previous versions of Android) but on the other side WP7.X is optimized a Single Core ARMv7 snapdragon SoC that that feature a processor clocked at 1.4Ghz and yet it is smoother than almost anything else, Nokia Symbian phones are literally put to shame when compared to such.

I really don't understand, why would anyone care about cpu and cores? it all depends on the using experience, it does not matter if the device have dual core or quad core if it provide poor experience, and i really don't care if the device have 200MHz cpu as long as the interface is smooth and fast.

Remember the megapixel craze from digital camera, more MP does not necessary means better picture, the same thing with cores and cpu, more power does not necessary mean better experience.

Whatever I said earlier makes sense & is perfectly valid. All current Nokia Symbian devices use the obsolete ARM11 Cores in contrast to anything newer (Android, iPhone & WP) that sport an ARMv7 Cortex-AX CPU.

This isn't a high end device, and what is wrong with a single core CPU? If it get's the job done, then it gets the job done! This phone doesn't compete with SGS3 but rather with some offerings in it's price category. To me it looks solid.

I'm using a Lenovo P700 using the same chip as this Philips and half its RAM on ICS and it does not lag (unless you have so many opened apps). The 1GB RAM on this is a welcomed addition.
