single core...I don't know how they are thinking of selling them...in market today you have quad cores. I there any manufacturer thinking to produce e least dual core smartphones with dual-SIM?

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2012Single core Android yea it's going to lagI'm running Ice Cream Sandwich on my 2 years old SGS and it's not lagging one bit.
It's not overclocked, stock 1GHz frequency, with just the kernel governor changed to Smartass V2.
And it's got only 512 MB of RAM...
That Philips phone has native ICS and 1GB of RAM.
It surely isn't going to lag.
Might be my next phone :)

Finally! Ice cream sandwich on single core proving that android's main issue was optimization. I feel sorry for those dual and quad core fiends who dont have ics and probably wont get jelly bean. If this trend continues I will heavily invest in android. Optimization.

Right now, all phones with a great battery have also a huge screen (Razr MAXX, this one). A smaller phone with this kind of batteries would be a killer device in terms of battery life.

Not too bad. At that thickness I would aim for a bigger battery still, but nice.

this should be cheap, like all chinese phones with mt6575 chipset.. try searching google and you will see a lot of chinese cloned phones that has bigger ips screen ,dual sim cards and uses mt6575 chipset..

That actually looks pretty nice. Nice design, ok hardware, i think what Philips is aiming at is Android device for not that demanding users who want the standy of the "old" feature phones (just with Android). Many users didn't like Androids because you had to charge them every 2 days or so. My Wildfire lasts up to 10 days but then again i don't talk that much...

a 12.6mm thick phone, with display 4.3" will surely look hefty in hands!
