Samsung Galaxy Note plagued by display issues

I have a note 3 myself, and it's garbage. Right now I can't use it because it stays either on a black screen or a black screen with yellow lines. Does Samsung want to help? NOPE!

Can some one advise me, my note was working perfectly fine and suddenly the display is not there any more, its just disapeard i tried to recharge it but it aint charging, and there is red light blinking very faded while i charge..can any one assist me whats wrong and how to go about it,
i took the battery out tried to restart, but it seems like the ph is dead or on a mode where nothing is working, not even charging.

the above link shows image which shows reddish effect on image on note screen .when image is Seen on Other mobile it shows completly black [actual colour].Do anyone gelling thus type of problem in their mobile?

Not the same issue but my Galaxy Note display this morning flipped upside down AND mirror image and it was really difficult to turn off which eventually fixed it. Couldn't press the inside out buttons either ....

hello frinds. i am 100% sure that black cliping and colour binding is softwear glitch. i notice this when i turn off my g-note and plug charger the battery the big battry icon first 1-2 second is nyce no cliping and colour bind then it trun colour bind and clipng.the hd screen is my only reson to by this device and now i am disopoint .sorry for my bad eng

guys im also facing the same problem, i have searched a lot of sites for this problem found nothing and nothing makes the difference. but i have tried MX player for vedios setting the option Software decoder at the top right and the amazing thing is i didnt find those black spots, i hope this would b helpfull hav a look.

My Note screen just went out today. They better recall and replace defective manufactured goods or your damn right we should take legal class suit action against SAMSUNG. No way can they get away with this. We all paid for what we thought was the best and we should get what we pay for.

how about suing samsung? Ive noticed many galaxy note users are having this problem including me.. if i only have the funds lol...they should not be ignoring this problem and also they should not be selling gadgets that have problems which makes us (customers) unsatisfied..

Sorry, I was speaking too soon! Last night I tested a few movies while having 2x Battery app set my screen brightness/transparency at 80% and I saw a lot of blocking pixelations. So, the 2x Battery app doesn't help in this case. Sorry for saying it too soon earlier. I guess there is no hope of an easy fix for that problem. My only hope is someone comes up with a software fix at a lower level or a fix from Samsung, which is very unlikely provided their response so far.
In a related note about the screen problem with Samsung Galaxy Note (5.3" screen version), I also notice that if you have phone turn off completely, plug in the charger, briefly turn the phone on just so that it shows the green battery icon on the screen, then use your thumb or something to cover the battery icon, the rest of the screen will be illuminated by the back light from the battery icon. Do this in a dark room and see if there are a lot of dark spots on the screen. These dark spots appear to arrange randomly on the screen and they look weird. If you guys can confirm this is the defect from the screen, then I don't know if even a software/kernel fix can correct it because it is a hardware issue.

I have 2 SGNotes (version 1) with black crushing problem. I bought the first one probably around Jun 2012 and the second one end of August 2012. I updated both of them to ICS (official ROM from AT&T) but they still have (or 1 still has) same problem.
Today I found this website and saw a comment from user Hedi suggesting the app 2x Battery. I downloaded it on one of my Notes and set the screen filter brightness to 80%. I then briefly watched the first part of movie "2012" and didn't see the black crushing anymore.
I am going to test it more to make sure this indeed "fix" the black crushing problem and hoping that I am not speaking too soon.
I will report back here again. I have other movies (Harry Potters, Lord of the Rings ...) all had given me black issue before I tried this 2x Battery app.
And anybody out there if you want to try it for yourself or can't wait for me then please go ahead and try the 2x Battery app and let us know as well. Hope it is a simple fix. (I know some experts/developers had tried to fix this before and for some reason he abandoned the effort).

I got the same fucking issue too.. Its disappointed but i love my note.. And i hope sammy will fix this.. And im waiting for the jb update..hope it will not occur when we update it to jelly bean.. IF the problem is in the software..

I am having this problem too..... Is this a software issue or hardware issue? Can we expect a fix for this from Samsung? I recently got official update to 4.0.4 and the issue is still present.

I worked around the issue by using screen filter. Download 2x Battery application. Go to Setting/Utilities/Screen Filter, choose white color then set transparancy to 80%. The crush black shoukd disappear now. You shouldn't sell your gakaxy note. It's a good phone.
