08 August, 2012
Thanks to the new AMOLED display, the Note 2 might feature an even larger battery than the original Note.

Galaxy note is made of plastic but it is sturdy and well built. I've dropped it several times and there's only minor 2mm bump on its rim

Woow.. Surely Note 2 will put iPhone in the garbage bin. Finally iPhone would compete with Symbian based smartphones. Even compared to Eclair, iOS 6 still much worse both in speed and features. RIP for overpriced iPhone and iOS. How do you think?

Jowever they do have the advantage of making hardware and software, thats why the run smoothly, where android hardware made.by one party and software is google so its a bit harder to be as compatiable, not saying that they dont do it. Note isn't smartphone. Cannot use aibgle hand too. So S series is the perfect way to use & demand. SIII best as I think.

Even the single-core Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S on ICS? Dude, face it, iPhone sucks. It's smooth because 50% of the apps don't support true multitasking. My uncle once had 89 apps open on his iPhone 3GS (on iOS 5, not jailbroken) and it still worked as smooth as my Xperia Arc S, which was on Gingerbread back then. No offense, but I'd rather have a lot of features and a little less smooth UI than 60fps UI and miserable functionality.

The current things this gives is ability to make phones thinner, and a stronger / more impact resistant screen. It would get paired with flexible gorilla glass, again to be thinner and also produce curved screens/phones easier & cheaper.

                                Flexible bracelet phones anyone?

ok..so does this mean upcoming phones from samsung will follow in the footsteps of galaxy nexus' design?

considering the slight curve thingy, apple cant sue them now, because its no longer a rectangular phone with rounded edges and home button, but rectangular phone with rounded edges and home button with slightly curved screen/body.

stonecold, 08 Aug 2012must u compare Samsung with iPhone. if u love iPhone stay w... moreI agree. And good for you for trying something different!

Best advice is what you said - don't compare it to iPhone. They both do a lot of the same things, but they go about it differently.

It's the small things that make the difference for me. The customisability, the resizeable widgets (I have my calendar (integrated) and 4 email accounts (work & personal) running live on screen), file transfer ability, colour and better camera features do it for me. The iPhone UI is more consistent - true - but a quick clear RAM or restart and all good.
Wait for Jelly Bean (October/November) - I think you'll see a big improvement in day to day use.

Google and Youtube Galaxy S3 to find out about more features and what it can do. This is the other big thing - there's just soo much in the phone and tweaks available to make it work how YOU want as opposed to what the manufacturer wants.

It's not perfect, but I think Jelly Bean will start to change that.
