Went from the old gen windows phone (6.0 - 6.1 - 6.5) to iphone 3g to windows phone (7 - 7.5) and now BB OS (7.0 - 7.1) and I can safely say that the IOS was the worst. I know I used it a long time ago but the basic fundamentals are all the same and there are iphone users in my household. However I should be grabbing the GS3 soon and want to see which OS is overall the best.

I won't repeat the many comments on this blog that show why much of what you've said is incorrect.

I like iPhone, can afford to buy a few of them (SGS3 & HOX were almost the same price when released), though don't choose to own one. Again for many of teh reasons already said in theis blog (mainly the lack of flexibility. However Android is far from perfect.

The reason Android fans (Anfans) often dislike iPhone is because that many people (iFans) have a one sided view, beleiving everything that Apple Marketing say, without bothering to do even a little research to validate. And Apple does make false claims, or more correctly presents things in such a way that lead people to make incorrect conclusions. Have a look:

                                2. Agreed. As long as it's easy to hold I'm in.
                                3. I won't look it up but I guess I know what you're talking about. Most of these affirmations (whoever makes 'em) are gimmicky and have little to do with real life usage.
                                4. Color accuracy is nice for editing/taking photos/video. Maybe I'm just childish, but I love the saturated colors and deep blacks on AMOLEDs while watching movies or using games/apps. Camera improvements were good but not great and the sensor was reduced in size. And even if he was talking about the earpods, similar earbuds have been out there for years.
                                5. That 2.5% figure looks like a bit made up in the moment. However I agree only top tier Androids run smoothly. Mid rangers and low end handsets fall short in smoothness. And yes, WP is smooth.
                                6. I heard that too. Either way there's no merit in the phrase "iPhone 5 is the best phone ever created by Apple after post Steve Jobs era."
                                7. Samsung did fail in the tablet market, that's a fact. But their widespread success in the smartphone department is more than a hope.

2.I feel thin factor is getting ridiculous , iPod Touch is 6mm , wtf lol , i think its hard to hold it , ergonomically 3GS and curved shapes like ipod touch 3rd gen had better grip imho

3."Inspired by nature" , "One handed use" is marketing sh** created by companies , once go to google images and type "steve jobs iphone" , see the results , how many times Jobs held phone with two hands vs one hand (while using but not while showing off to audience)

4.New Retina Display used in iP5 has best color gamut (color accuracy at its best than before) , and screen size little wider , Camera also has some nice optical advancements like new ISP and Sapphire lens.
Speakers means he referring to earpods.

5.Only 2.5% of androids operate with "less lag" (i did notice stuttering even in jellybean at many instances but its far less than ICS and GB).
WP is clearly the very smooth device.

6.Its the last phone worked under Steve Jobs but he killed it off last year and released 4S instead (he passed away next day of unveiling 4S)

7.Samsung is definitely facing too much pressure because they failed miserably in tablet market and they are highly having hopes on android smartphone space while trying to push windows 8 in tablets.

There is no perfect phone... that's a fact, specially if you consider the multitude of people in existence, everybody asks for different stuff on a phone.

iPhone 5 is just an iteration (not an inovation) over the older generation, it truly doesn't bring anything innovative (nor extraordinary).

Galaxy S III is a power house, as a phone it makes little sense, unless you use it as a tablet with phone functions.

Lumia 920 is... well... a phone with a good camera and wireless charging.

The list goes on, the question is: Do you really want to spend all that money in a new phone? Don't you have anything better to do with it?

Anonymous, 17 Sep 2012i do find it odd that several of what gsma considers the be... moregsma looks at features, not everyday usability. they get the phone and mess around with it and write a review. Also, they mainly compare an android with other android, rather direct comparison's with other OS's.

I.e when SG3 was released, they didn't do a detailed analysis of each feature compared to WP7.5, iOS, Symbian, BB etc. they cmpared it to what upgrades there were compared to the old OS.

and i say its a pathetic OS cause i have a galaxy nexus... and android is by far the worst OS i've used (not in terms of apps or eye candy), but in termsor stability, glitches, the layout of many things, complication for no damn reason.

this is exactly why iOS fans can't go to android... cause android is SOOO uneccessarily complicated/$tupid.
