Plastic bends and so reduces the momentum during impact, meaning a lesser force going thru the hardware. If you want a building, you should use cement and steel, but on a phone, talking about durability and hardware protection, plastic all the way. If you have a bigger screen and use the same glass as displaymaterial, which will break first? Of course the bigger one, but falling on the back it will be plastic, at least if it doesnt fall from a plane.

I agree with the anonymous guy i think people are smart and they stopped buying the icrap 5 and they starting to realize there are best smartphones out there like Galaxy S3

when the 4s came out, i saw several queues. now that the Ip5 is out, i have yet to see one in my region. Me think this is all propaganda. Even my apple loving friends are going what is the point of getting the same thing for 1000$.

You watched one simple unscientific test. The glass is simply bigger on the s3, making it easier to break, has nothing to do with plastic or metall casing, I know that, but you seem to not understand that.

haters always say poor battery and cheap plastic... u know guys its not a cheap plastic its a quality, durable plastic and ideal for such a phone,why? coz plastic is strong enough to hold a strong impact from fall with no or minimal scrath., u guys studied physics rigtih, as we all know plastic is not a good conductor of heat ad electricity thats why u dont feel much heat on it and it doesnt affect the signal frequency in anyway u hold it. about battery well i dont have to explain it.. samsung is great..

Apple talk about face time ! I had video calling on my Sony cyber shot phone about 8 years ago for god sake lol. Apple uses Google , and they actually use Samsung parts in there phones. So much for innovators hey. Finally getting found out !

The iPhone 5 is such a sight to behold and a joy to use. I've got my black iPhone last week and I so love it. It's the best phone in the world. Too bad, it will not get to the hands of many people for its hefty price. But if you can afford it, don't think twice of buying it.
