I work in a international company (Leroy Merlin), it belongs to a huge group (ADEO). Here, in Portugal, all +5000 works have a Samsung A50 or A51, with ulimited phone calls, msg, and mobile data. I use it with my personal SIM card. It works great and no phone has ever gone missing and only a few got broken.

Anonymous, 05 Jun 2021Um, they are Walmart employees, not a skilled profession or... moreI'd say having to deal with idiots like yourself is a trade in and of itself. I suppose your "skilled profession" is going online and posting anonymous comments to belittle a entire workforce. WalMart employees had to show up to work each day during the pandemic so asshats like you could buy truckloads of toilet paper to clean up all your bullshit.

Phones fan, 05 Jun 2021Soon we will see a lot of chinese rugged phones, and may be... morelol wut, outside of the US, there are ONLY Chinese rugged phones with up to 10000 mah batteries. They are usually like $200-$250 too. The only thing is that it's really rare to find one with even an upper midrange chip. They mostly use lower to mid-midrange chips. They are very common for civil engineers working in the desert here in Egypt, or in the middle east. The same goes for many Asian countries. Normal phones will easily shut down after 1-2 hours of usage on site. They replace satellite phones which are extremely expensive.

Is there hope that these sealed batteries go under fire since lots of people are claiming their phones are good enough for more than 2 years?

This is pretty good phone, Exynos 9611 which is powerful enough to run casual app smoothly, 4000 mAh removable battery, and rugged phone package (ip68, dropresistant 1.5m, mil-std-810g).
Its just a fair bit expensive.

All it need is a custom wallmart specific rom and it'll be perfect pocket tools for the employee. If it has wifi network based comms like walkie talkie, it would be even better.

Soon we will see a lot of chinese rugged phones, and may be we will see a rugged iPhone.

what about CSR working on the account?.

This allows Walmart to see literally every single move of their employees:

                                    1. Exact location at all times.
                                    2. Time of arrival / smoke-breaks / exit.
                                    3. Listening to every single conversation.

And you bet it's going to be forbidden to use personal phones during work hours.

So their bloatware will also track visited websites, opened apps, received calls and text messages.

What a great time to be alive.

good for you samsung, good for you... (tells motorolla CEO when reads the news)

Wow!! This is a great achievment for Samsung..
