With Android, you at least have options. A reason why Nexus devices can be sold cheaper, is due to the lack of microSD slots. However, if you find such feature important, then you always can find Android devices that offer such microSD slot, much unlike iOS devices. It's all about choice. Want expandability? Avoid a Nexus device. Want cheaper and can do with limited memory? Nexus is available.
Next to that, due to the standard used, like microUSB, one can easily find cheap external memory solutions on the market.

I get frustrated daily while using my gf ipad , since most apps that need or want are payed, can't even try is that what I need or not. Android at least has lite versions or heavy add, so I can give it a try for week or two.
Another dumb fan boy who's opinion is based on Google search results.

Yeah if you like scratches and dents. This nexus 4 is half the price of an iPhone 5 yet blows it clean out of the water! Have you seen one in in the flesh? No you haven't but I have and its stunning! IPhones are a triumph of marketing over product owned by sheep that "think" they are cool, ios is smooth but painfully boring and massively restricted, you can't even blue tooth data to another device other than another iPhone! Never mind video call another device. Apple take a feature other phones have been able to do for years then just read name it and make out its the only phone in the world that can do it (face time for example) the funny thing is all you isheep fall for this marketing rubbish every time hahahaha. "Its an iPhone so its the best phone in the world" err.... Wrong
