I have had 5 HTC and Samsung Android phones before changing to WP 7.5. I don't care if WP 7.8 is months away... I really like my Lumia and it works perfectly. Never got stuck, is fast and never had lag problems... I usually change phones every 2 or 3 months just because I get bored with the UI or the phone itself, but I like this Lumia so much that I've kept it as my main phone since the beginning of June.

Charles.Kumar 3, 16 Nov 2012This is fine but Nokia should allow 8 version update for 7... morethat's impossible it requires a unique encryption chip to run that is specific to that phones particular WP8 OS the same OS encryption code is never used twice.

SSSSSSSSSS, 15 Nov 2012I tried all 3 platforms. This is what i found : 1.Andro... moreyou tried 3 platform ?
seems you only tried those in a brief, or in a hurry.

android is not just about customization, android are about flexibility and freedom.
also don't forget each android vendor has the freedom to add their own value-added feature.

ios has wide array of customization & flexibility after you jailbreak it. ios kernel also very stable.

wp real power is its efficient & straightforward UI. live tile is very efficient. but at the same time it also boring.

Time and Patience is running out for many people like me who opted for WP7 even though we had option to go for Andriod or iOS.
Now MS should respond quickly for WP7 owners request and provide WP7.8 as soon as possible.

It's like WP7.5, who will get a timely and worthy update only if they bought the flagship model of the whole platform, the Lumia 900. Oh wait...

I haven't seen the lag you are talking about. I do want a file manager and I do want to know what apps I'm running, even when I don't really need to 'kill' anything.

My patience is not the best I agree so you ll have to bear with me. The 13 months for an update that is not current has worn me somewhat thin. Peter the oldest little boy in Liverpool

I really like the windows o.s. I think it can do real well, and give android a push for its money. Using a htc radar. very efficient os.

                              I tried all 3 platforms.

This is what i found :
                              1.Android :
Good for customization and does everything like symbian with file manager but its requires polish because lot of stutters and lag even today in most quad cores even in simple thing like web browsing.

                              No consistent experience.

                              2.iOS :
Easy to use , Updates come on time , just sit back and enjoy the device. No file manager and Automatic RAM management , so no killing of apps every time.

No customization and Flexibility but gets your work done easily because lags are very rare and system is stable.

                              WP :
Can do "simple" "day-to-day" tasks very easily without having tonnes of apps installed.Easily share things via social networks and post to multiple things at same time.

No jumping between apps and searching on phone.
Default OS , right out of the box works very good and feels polished. All popular apps are available.

I used to own an windows 7.5 mango phone . I waited so long for the windows 7.8 update , i was sick and tired checking everyday for the update , reading various blogs , But my patience has to come to an end . One magical word 'Andriod' now i have extremely happy with my new note , Switch to a better os than to wait for update (that too a new homescreen)

The current browser for Windows Phone 7.5 is very good and fast. So I would imagine that many users will not be troubled by there being no update to the WP8 version.

had enough of WP7.5 7.8 is not going to make up for being crapped on by Microsoft and Nokia with WP8... Android needs to get it'd house in order and unify it's firmware updates so every one can have Jelly Bean at same time. (NO HOPE THERE THEN)so I've decided to sell my Nokia Lumia 800 and my Sony Xperia S and get an iPhone 4s as much as I hate Apple they are the only phone manufacturer to keep their phone updates united:-( :-( just wish there was an alternative to iTunes i hate that the most.... so good bye to WP ? and Android 4.?.? for good and even with an iPhone i'll carry on with my hatred of apple
