All I understood is, "we dont want to admit we are selling a $350 @profit when we are charging another phone around $800 for the same hardware, because then all our android fans would realise we are the same crap as apple - a big business making a lot of money"

and yes, their shitty Optimus G that at first looks fantastic.. but as you go on and see it again and again, looks like a brick and nothing more special despite of some good UI and tricks. if Nex4 would have been better than OpG then Nex4 would sell like pancakes and OpG become a shitty piece of trash. awful. business strategy. they dont offer what mass consumer needs, they sell that they think they can manage to make money. tell me pls f**ck the he** yeah

LG is hiding this fact only because they want to increase the sale of their shit expensive Optimus G.

They cannot advertise 3G LTE else they will have to pay additional for patents thereby increasing cost of the device.

AnonD-81639, 25 Nov 2012From my understanding, the phone already has a 3G amplifier... moreThats right. 3G and 4G LTE have many common frequency bands. So theoretically it should be possible to use LTE signals of all those bands and redirect it to the LTE modem with a small firmware tweak.

The only thing LG is not telling us is that Nexus 4's LTE works only with 1700/2100 Mhz baseband which is used in their own "LG U+" network in Korea.
I personally think that is awesome what they did, putting a signal amplifier where it can profit them the best.

My last five speed tests for the Nexus 4 were 15,21, 16,15, and 21 mb/s. This is comparable to my GNexus LTE average. Although the peak download on LTE was 52 mb/s.

                                      LTE has HSPA+ beaten handily.

Btw, I'm in Orange County, CA.
