No point issuing JB for the xperia U, ICS is pretty laggy as it is, went back to GB.

I love sony i am a huge fan of sony..even it was sony ericsson b4 i am a huge fan of that...the camera is so amazing...now the best software android for my XPERIA S...wow...I cant wait for..VERsion 4.1...JELLY BEAN..

There are not clues whatsoever to tie them!
They can just drop support to all that was "Sony Ericsson", no one will ever guess Sony is the door to go knock at for "accountability"...
I will only say this, it must be blissful to do business with (smart) people like you.

I was the user of the Samsung galaxy s2 switched to Sony for better user's touch experience, battery and multilingual support which I find extremely helpful and better than the Samsung mobiles regardless of the powerful specs each high end galaxy series has, now very disappointed of what Sony is doing to its customers at the moment. please Sony treat all of ur mobiles equally with ur updates. it's really not cool and waste of money to buy mobiles every 6 months! stop leeching off people. otherwise we will change our loyalty direction to Samsung again!

are you people stupid?! of course they wont update their older phone models! thats one way to make sure that you people who complain go buy their "NEW" phones, their 2012 MODEL PHONES. If they keep updating their older model phones, for sure you wont buy new phones, making it harder for them to sell their products, if they would update their SE Arc S to JB, who would buy their Xperia J? Do you get my point? use your brains people and besides, you guys should be happy that your phones even got to ICS. I just bought an Xperia P coming from an LG Optimus P500, and I'm telling you, LG is way worse in the "PROMISING not DOING" thing than SONY. None of LG's 2010-2011 model phones that started out in GB got to ICS and never gut updates for bug fixes and some improvements, unlike in SONY, phone from GB are in ICS already, and are still having UPDATES to FIX BUGS and to improve their phones, so in my opinion, SONY is good at updates, they do care about their costumers, I only have problem with battery life (but it has gotten better since last update) but the rest is just great! I have a friend who owns an S2 on ICS and I have a Xperia P on ICS, and I can say that my Xperia can cope up with the S2 even if my P is only a mid-range phone and is way cheaper than the S2. Finally, you people who complain about their 2011 phones should just stop and go buy new phones. That will solve all your problems.

Sony has given update for earlier 2012 e.g.. experia S, but what about the Sony Eperia SL which was available on a month ago (oct) will Sony give Jelly Bean update for SL.?

Sony need to provide product updates for a reasonable duration rather than cutting of their customers times and times again.
Sony current decision not to provide updates and support to their 1+ y/o phone will alienated their current customers and also serves as a warning to any future customer about purchasing Sony's phone.

The 2011 phones are Sony Ericsson product.
Thats why Sony wont to updates the 2011 phones, they are different brand now.
Sony Ericsson is history now, and forget it.

Sony seems unable to come to grips with their software. They make nice looking phones, but even after admitting that they'd previously let their customers down, they continue to do so. And it's not just their phones. They alienate their PlayStation customers with some of the stunts they pull too!
Why are they so capable with hardware and so useless with software? Time and time again, they make an announcement and then we wait ages for the update. Can't they see what they're doing? Samsung, Motorola, HTC can all release on schedule, why can't Sony?

I doubt this will happen according to expectation. I was promised ICS by Sony in August for my Sola (and have still not got it). The best thing Sony owners can do is to buy a different brand phone with JB already on it. The best thing Sony can do to stop sales to other makers is to upgrade ALL MODELS that can be updated. Go spend some money Sony, hire some decent developers, and it will pay for itself in a few months.

Sony should also introduce native video call and voice recorder feature in xperia s along with updates of jelly beans. as this application is being demanded from every corner of world as well as sony forum.
