Tom, 07 Dec 2012For me the 2020 mAh battery in this phone is also a joke. ... moreNo dude its not ridiculous.. The super lcd 3 screen is much less powr consuming capability.. A 2020 mah is good enough fr it.. If u cncidr the sgn2 it is super amold display f 5.5" which is more power consuming. Thats y the cheap matrial sgn2 has a larger bttry..

NKK, 07 Dec 2012I've read so many comments regarding HTC phones and I truly... moresorry buddy, but you need to read the reviews. HTC is one of the WORST quality phones you can buy. i have MULTIPLE friends that have repeatedly sent thier phones in for MAJOR repairs. none of the other OEMs went through this many years of garbage quality phones like HTC went through... at the beginning of last year, FOUR of the top HTC phones were recalled back for major screen issues, heat issues and other hardware concerns. no other oem has a history like that.. LG is a piece of junk and even they dont have a rep like that.

people in this thread are being objective...htc has years of quality to improve on before they can catch up to OEM's like samsung, nokia, apple, and sony...

... look at it this way, if it wasn't for android, HTC would no longer be around. they dont stand a chance in the WP8 market anymore, and they are losing market share against samsung in the android industry.

2020mah for a 5" phone is gonna be a problem even with energy saving cores or screen and I reckon that there will be falling profits for htc again

NKK, 07 Dec 2012I've read so many comments regarding HTC phones and I truly... moreIm objective, i had a HTC Desire Z and it was the worst junk ever. I was about to gie up on android but decided to try an Xperia Pro and it had no problem, no hang or serious lag or freeze and no need to remove the battery to make it boot up again after crash. For sure i will not get a HTC again, and many many others with me, i dont think people already forgotten how low quality and how flawed software HTC had 2 years ago, really the bottom of the bin, WHICH IS WHY THEY NOW HAVE HAD A STEADY DECLINE IN SALES FOR 2 YEARS. And, Sense remains, natively defective code has been passed on to later generations.

Its like ATI video drivers on Windows, every time ATI launched new graphics cards the fanboys would say "driver problem? oh no, that was before, they are so stable now". Since 2002 i have listened to those fanboys words and till this day the drivers are just as bloated and unreliable. Same with HTC sense, its never gonna recover, defective code must be discarded and not built upon with workarounds for defects.

Only 2 months ago i thought i would never ever buy a samsung. Now i have a Note 2 and i like it a lot, Samsung has convincing quality, reliable and very few and small bugs. The sad part is that the reason i bought HTC 2 years ago was because i wanted to avoid samsung. How stupid i was to think that samsung was inferior in any way, when HTC is the real inferior player here.

Comparing HTC of Old and the recent offering of the One series, i have to say, not being a htc user previously that i think the look and feel of these recent models are one of the smartest sexy phones on the market.I have a One S and searched till i got an S4 chip etc and its great. I'm a business user and don't use games or store a mega store of music so guess everyone's needs are different. I will continue to follow HTC now but yes, less models please, better batteries perhaps, card slot and don't stray too far from keeping it pocket friendly. 5inch for me is too big. bad enough now stretching across the glass. Anyway.. keep going and well done overall.

                      snapdragon: 4Kb of data/inst cache
                      a6: 32Kb of data/inst cache

The battery is a clear joke. Less than 4hrs of usage in LTE, in reviews. LOL. Please eat this phone HTC. I will gladly wait for Butterfly XE+ or whatever. It will surely be released alongside Glaxy S4 after 4 months. HTC always does that sh*t. I highly advice anyone even considering to buy this, not to. Or you'll sh*t bricks after 4 months. They intentionally made the battery a joke so they'll have little improvement for the Butterfly XE+. Like what they did with Sensation and One X.

I've read so many comments regarding HTC phones and I truly believe that there is serious prejudice towards these phones. It seems the smallest things people have issues with, however the same issues seem not to be a problem when it come to other phones. HTC seems to be a pioneer in a number of regards, screen design, fast processor, phone design but is still deemed the under dog in the phone world. I remember when Samsung was once in that position, now look at where it is today (great marketing for gullible people) . In my regard their phones aren't any better but we have a large number of people that need someone to tell them what is good for them and the rest follow blindly. Some how the story of the pipe piper comes to mind. Come on people get a mind of your own and please comment objectively.

Yes, I've read reviews saying it's a decent lasting phone but it's a shame for HTC for not putting any bigger battery into a 5" phone. Remember - Motorola's 4.7" phone has 3.300 mAh battery and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 5.5" has 310 mAh battery.

2020 mAh sounds ridiculous in a 5" phone.

No wonder HTC is not doing well. So much haters here, not sure why...I mean, those HTC phones are not perfect, sure...but then again neither are others!
I used to have SE, Samsung, LG and HTC, and I can't say that HTC is worse than the others...if not better!
And also, knowing about HTCs policy, there will probably be a butterfly+ in 5-6 months with better battery and more storage room...sooo don't just throw it away because YOU think it's no good or you heard that some other phone has better reputation...wait for the review and then decide...or even better, go to some store and try it yourself when available.

Great phone, actually best on market. The only weakness: battery. Not because it's not power efficent, all test, included Gsmarena's one has showed that it's good, but, again, it would be wonderfull with 2300-2500 mAh. So, I'll just wait for Butterfly+, for sure it will have greater battery. It will be the same as Sensation and Sensation XE, ONE X and ONE X+. Till then, my HTC ONE X is just great.
