Xperia Yuga to have Exynos 5 Quad chipset, 5" OLED display?

13 December, 2012
While the specs sound awesome, the rumor might turn out to be little but a wish list.

Boybawang, 13 Dec 2012What is 3GB of RAM in my Cellphone for?? Even 2GB of RAM is... moreits because android is to key lime pie which has 3 words...so 3 core...but damn i am starting to think android is becoming a shitty os ...every year we can see more cores, more ram...instead of that they should optimize their os and make it more simple looking..and wat 1080p oled screen...but sorry sony i have a nokia c7 with non hd oled and i dont like it ...its too brigth while brownsing the internet ...i think window phone 8 will kick android out of the market and both window 8 and bb10 will become successful while ios share will decrease a bit because of the iphone 5 but ipad will still dominate...and finally we will get tizen from samsung which will be a very good open source os from samsung only and will use exynos chipset only(so no fragmentation)but i dont know if it will take off

Wait, we are looking at a 1080P OLED 5" with THREE (3) GB of RAM AND, AND, AND a 128 GB of storage with 16 MP shooter??
This is just too good to be true! I think even if Sony was capable of coming up with all these specs in Yuga, it will be hella expensive. It might just be a prototype that Sony is testing what they are capable of. The final product my just come with 2GB of RAM with 32GB the most.
Nevertheless, it is still great and looks much better than the last picture I saw.
Keep up the great work Sony.

AnonD-71308, 13 Dec 2012Way to go Sony. And by the way when did samsung become shit... moreThey're not close. Just look at those benchmarks. They probably haven't been optimized for Android 4.2 just yet, but just look at the score different. Exynos 5 Dual only get 170 in Linpack, while S4 Pro managed to get more than 600 (650+ in some cases). And don't forget that S4 Prime is ready to fight against Exynos 5 Quad before S5 chipset is ready to lauch

Now I ask you, which phone has the most fluid UI with ICS? GS3. So it's clear that they're not the best optimizer in the world. Second, they always terrible in software update. Just look at Xperia Arc vs GS2. GS2 will surely get it's Android 4.2 update, or even Android 5.0 in the future. 2011 Xperias? Yes, they finally got their ICS update, but they will NEVER see JB (yes they updated all their devices just because they all have the same hardware in different bodies so it's easy). And another example, Xperia S vs One S. I believe One S will get it's Android 4.2 update soon, while Xperia S still waiting for it's 4.1 update.

GSMArena, why I can't post my replies to him?

Yes, new GS3 doesn't lag (haven't tried a new GN2 just yet). But when you have more than 5 apps drawer, you'll notice more lags, and it will getting worse as you installing more and more apps. My point is, that phone isn't lag free. You see iOs or WP, no matter how many apps you installed, it will never (or 99%) lags. I don't like Apple, but I have to admit that they win in fluidity

Way to go Sony. And by the way when did samsung become shit? Exynos 4 was better than Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 and Dual core Exynos 5 chip can perform close to Quad core S4 pro. So, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that Cortex A15based Quad core exynos 5450 clocked at 2ghz and Mali T654 gpu will beat Snapdragon S4 pro with Adreno 320gpu.

In response to what "JWill97" said. I'm currently using a GNOTE 2 with 4 full screens of widgets, and 3 pages of apps full and I notice no lag when pinching or scrolling. Although i will say this...my friend has a GS3 and has 10 pages of apps and it does lag....HAHA. Although I've heard the GS3 lags in the app draw regardless (NA version not international). Just thought I'd share my experiences.
