Almost all big companies are suffering with immature releases, and it's the user's fault in some parts, for always wanting ultra fast updates, and that's what they get, beta releases released as stable, OnePlus, Samsung and Google are all having problems with rushed and unfinished softwares.
Better wait for them to iron out bugs and inconsistencies before updating.
Also, this is truth with all newly released phones, they are shipped with beta softwares, first buyers are literally compulsory beta testers.
People bash OnePlus for this, but Samsung and Google are having the very same problems with those unfinished softwares.
also, on OP8 series the update is not being rushed like on 9 series, it's already on closed beta, and the beta will extend until 2022 March, plenty of time for them to fix the bugs before releasing, I'm not pessimistic about it as hurt old OnePlus users.

Anonymous, 11 Dec 2021You are just OnePlus 8T owner and this article don't m... moreAnd more, your comment makes no sense, I own 8T because that's what I could afford, and I'm satisfied with it, great display, haptics and it's reliable.
Now tech savvy people if they don't have the most premium devices they can't talk about facts? I read a lot about tech and that's the naked truth, both OnePlus and Samsung have released buggy updates, Samsung even bricked some devices, can't you see that these updates were rushed? That companies are taking the Microsoft route and forcing regular users to become beta testers? Obviously in both cases they dropped the ball, with short beta testing period and a rush to be first, heck, even Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have fatal bugs with Android 12, they will iron out the bugs, of course, but this will take some time and resources, read more, be wise, don't be a fanboy, and don't judge people for what they have.

Anonymous, 11 Dec 2021You are just OnePlus 8T owner and this article don't m... moreJust because I own 8T I can't mention about Samsung halted One UI 4.0 for Flip 3 and Fold 3? You sound like Samsung fanboy, any Android phone from any brand can brick or have bugs with half backed hurried updates.
Just read the news, just because I own an 8T I can't talk about facts? Owning 8T doesn't make me blind.
Also, saying One UI is beautiful is a personal opinion, I personally disagree, my opinion about it is different, very cartoonish UI, but this is MY OPINION, I respect yours and I hope you respect mine also.

cozxta, 11 Dec 2021Just like One UI 4.0 bricking Z Flip 3 and Fold 3.You are just OnePlus 8T owner and this article don't mention about your cheaper mid tier-2 level OnePlus 8T (soon to be low tier-3 phone after Oxygen OS 12)
And yet, you mention about upper level and high class phone like Z flip3 and Z fold3 with its beautiful One UI.

Hardly surprising, stock Android 12 is a buggy mess to begin with....skinning it must be a nightmare.

Damage control. They could improve it a bit sure but fundamentally they can't change it. It's a colorOS iteration now....
