Intel announces plans for new chipset mega-site in Ohio

Also, TSMC weren't always the leaders in chip manufacturing as they are now.
Their processes used to be imperfect but as more OEMs went with them they got the necessary capital to improve and expand upon their operations.
Bottom line is, stuff like this is good news. Just because it is not coming from a market leader doesn't make it any less worthwhile. No point in being dismissive of this at its infancy, it'd be interesting to see what Intel can do, especially now that they've come to the realization that they fell asleep at the wheel for too long.
