AnonD-89174, 06 Jan 2013I haven't viewed the video link but i think the reson why t... morei know about the cores..im not trying to make sony looks slower...im trying to show you that sony's phone was launched at the end of the year as a flagship maybe, i dont know...i looked for the last phone or the top of the line to make a comparison, but i hadnt found. So, my point is in 2012 the sony's top of the line was lagging. the S3 came up in may with quadcore, in the US with 2 cores and no lag..im talking about what happpend till 2012 and thats why i was criticizing sony. im not talking about this new phone..gotta wait and see how performs...to see if a phone is good or not you always have to compare to another....I read an article here that sony's strategy was to come very strong in 2013 because of their position among the other companies

AnonD-97466, 06 Jan 2013This will kill everything on gs4 except processor...I still think the Exynos A15 is at par but not superior to the S4 Pro that Qualcomm released. They've always been going head to head. Remember that the Galaxy S2 had the dual core A9 chipset from Exynos and the Xperia had the dual core S3 chipset which is also an A9 architecture and GS2 had a hard time keeping up with the XS not until GS2 got updated with ICS but now that XS also got the update, it even blows the GS2 out of the water so I bet GS4 will have a hard time killing this beautiful beast from Sony. Sony, I hope you'd take the crown this year! Your Xperia Z/ZL will be my next after having this One X+. ;-)

I think this phone will be superior to gs3. Gs3 only has advantage only in SOC with their a15 processor everything else abt gs3 just sucks compared to xperia z

This is one hot looking device. I can't find one thing wrong with the specs and the design is great.
It looks like they've taken care of everything, from the durability, waterproofing and Sony's Android flavour is attractive, light and always has some nice, useful extras.
My next phone for sure.

Tejas reddy, 06 Jan 2013Good thoughtI don't really agree on the display part. I have a note 2 now and even at max brightness it's not easy to see details in dark parts of movies. Amoled has its advantages but Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro was the best i had for watching movies on, i was really surprised that a much larger display with superior dark black and contrast could give les detail than a 3.7 inch lcd that is not even HD resolution. I found side by side videos on YouTube to confirm that Xperia phones are better at details in dark video scenes than S3. Sure the Bravia engine helps but that's not the whole explanation, Samsung amoled has a shortcoming her.
I'm sure I'm not the only Samsung owner here who found that brightness must be set to maximum to enjoy rich video quality in some movies? Even Cars 2, i had to up the brightness a lot even on an animated movie? Is strange. Oh well, love the deep blacks on Samsung anyway.
