I guess this would be more powerful than Samsung's octa-core. Since Samsung only incorporates Mali GPU on their device. Like the international version of the GS4. I've heard the 2013 variants of Nexus 7 will use this kind of CPU, that would be awesome. But Nvidia had already their prototype device know as "Phoenix Phone". I've read the article not long ago of how the CPU performs, just like traditional reviews you see on a smartphone. What I'd saw was UNEXPECTED! They have tested the phone with synthetic bechmarks and I was amazed at the score, 42,500 on Antutu, and 25,756 on quadrant.

Q 800 series will smoke Tegra 4, beside Q 800 have LTE inside! Most likely new Exynos will smoke both of them featuring lower power consumption.

I agree with people who said that no need for quad-cores coz no real speed change u can feel .
For me on Android i could run almost havy games with Adreno 205 with only 1 core !
Games are like Nfs most wonted , asphalt 7 , N.o.v.a , MC3 ..
Just care a bit out free RAM and all things gonna be smoothly ..
On my own opinoin i'll not move for any device has No Adreno GPU
Am wondernig about Adreno 320 ! To test as soon as possiable
Qualcomm MSMxxxx Snapdragon is the best till now.

iHATER, 07 Jan 2013T3's gpu is worst i must say n mali 400 was better compared... moreGiven that Tegra 3 cores are based on 7 years old technology (!) the chip is pretty good if you compare it with brand new Samsung chip. This one (Tegra 4) is based on pretty new technology. Add to that NVIDIA's expertise, and you've got a winner here!

i hope you will.be able switch off cpu cores like in tegra 2. u dont neeed more than two cortex a15 cores at 1.9ghz. 4 cores is just a waste of battery life.

SGS... moreWell, i dunno abt the SGS4, but, I do know that Samsung will be launching a big.Little chip in at least dual-core (and possibly quad-core) Cortex A15-A7 configurations nxt month! However, given that the SGS4 is likely to be Samsung's premium flagship phone for 2013 thru early 2014, I think it's probable they might wanna incorporate the very best n latest of their innovations in it! I'd certainly hope a big.Little chip powers the SGS4!

Not having integrated cellular modem should not be so bad as Apple Ax chip or even Qualcomm APQ chip (used in recent quad core Krait phones like Nexus 4) also doesn't have integrated modem.

I don't think Samsung will put something better than Exynos 5 in SGS 3, since they will not recuperate the investment for Exynos 5, unless they sell a smartphone with it.

ARM v8 and Cortex A57-A53 already loom over the horizon in 2014! All in all, the competitions's heating up and us consumers r in 4 a real treat this year n next n the next and.....!

T3's gpu is worst i must say n mali 400 was better compared to it... i'll buy a phone wid mali 658 rather than 72 cores gpu of tegra... even exynos smokes nvidia chip... well lets see what qualcomm has to offer now

O.o, 07 Jan 2013U expect to run game and apps smoothly in power saving mode... moreit's always a pleasure to post in the comments section. The beauty of it is that there are folks like you who DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY READ. So power saving mode on the exynos is different from tegra's power saving core. And nobody and especially me did not say that games run on power saving mode. The discussion is about ui fluidity on the tegra devices. The facts speak for themselves (lag free devices like nexus 7 or HTC one X). Good luck with your common sense.

Anyway, the problem with T3 is that if you use the low power core, it's slow because the core is slow. To have the fast cores running, you need to load "heavy" applications. These heavy applications, need fast memory access. T3 having a single channel memory bus, could not provide this fast access to the cores. That's why T3 has so much lag.
