I bought my my phone from a friend of a friend, with just two months, but he must have done something to the phone... Today I installed the official samsung jb rom, with odin, and kies says it is updated to the last firmware, so recognises the jb rom... The only problem is that my phone asked for the sim unlock code... What shoould I do? Thanks in advance!!!

I was so sick of waiting that i used the firmware and instructions on sammobile to flash my S2 with the Spain firmware. (i am from belguim)
Following the instructions on sammobile, this went without any problems, in app. 30 minutes or so.
To my suprise, the backup that i made before (contacts pictures settings...) was not needed afterwards, when the firmware flash was done and the phone restarted, everything was still in there, only the android version changed.
I am mad at myself for not having done this before, Jelly bean is a real big improvement. so fast and snappy and smooth, i would never go back to the previous version.
Just use the Spain firmware on sammobile and flash it with Odin following the instructions and you will be fine. Just wanted to let you guys know that it is extremely simple and quick.

ramin, 24 Jan 2013Please help me to use Kies Air program for update You can not update whith kies air man,Kies air is just to share things from device to Pc,if you dont get the upgrade whith OTA then you must downlload Kies the program go here http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/JSP then install the kies and connect the phone whith kies,if the update has come to your region a pop-up window will show to you and will say:There is an update something like that and you press update and wait the kies do do the job

but what about the jellybean update for the original note? samsung said when jellybean was launched that the original note would get jellybean before the s2.
