How do I updated my OS to the latest version 8.1 I need help please,talking of GDR2&3 my huawei 4Afrika hasn't yet updated them,this looks more complicated than I thought.#kenya

I live in Livingstone, Zambia. I had a Huawei Windows 8 4Afrika phone but i lost it and have not yet recovered it. i loved the phone very much and would like to purchase a similar one. i have visited outlets where i thought i could get it but it seems there is none. please advise how i can get one or recommend the nearest shop i can visit.

I honestly dont have an issue with huawei. Thy've made a name esp after Ideos. But Huawei-4-Africa? C'mon guys? I dint knw the phone was less till i got alittle curious. And just any product remixed n rebranded for africa happens 2b a dump! I want the real deal.

my huawei afrika phone does not recognise an SDcard in the store, so i cannot install XAP files, is there another way to install xap files? please help me

i like trying new stuff... and i am liking it so far. Its obviously different from android/iOS/symbian etc.... of cos i expected that; otherwise what would be the point of getting it. Oh and my apps i use regulary are ALL there.... battery life is good. i get 2 days of normal use.
VERDICT: so far sooo good.
seeing these differences is why i appreciate trying out new tech. Guys, go for it. resist the usual!!!
Why: its pocket friendly...going for KES15000. the fairly similar lumia is KES25000. if its brand u want, nokia is an option. If your a game bugg/app tester who uses their fone to play games and browse meaningless apps...and not basically communicate stay away--or get a game console!(i hav the xBOX 360S to game away on till dawn)
So, at cheaper price, i get to experience same windows 8 also found on high end devices (read Lumia 920!) For me it scores adequately on functionality,design!! it fits in my hand, it fits in my pocket. I say, whose smarter now....hehehehe!

If you are used to Android like me, stick to it or you will regret having the windows. The phone is good though.

Nice phone but i don't like the windows 8...i feel like my phone owns me n not the other way round.I don't have control over it and the fact that there are very few applications available on Microsoft store is just another pain in the ass. Is it possible to install Android on this phone????

That is a 1.2Ghz Dual Core KRAIT S4 Snapdragon. The Lumia 920 has a 1.5Ghz Dual Core S4 - So all those saying this phone has low specs clearly do not know Minimum specs for a Windows phone and are in for a surprise.

Nice specs, equal to lumia 620 if not better and definitely better than lumia 510
Hope it does better in the app area if its going to compete with the droids.

am from kenya and am amazed at some of the comments here. if u can afford high end fones good for u. niw shut the f*** up no one cares. wat are u even doing on gsm arena if u don't want this fone. go shop on apple. buy expensive fones with the same performance as this huawei, but are being sold so much more expensive because of the brand name and becoz pple like u in 3rd world countries like the rest of us, think image is more important than economy and practicability. if ur so rich get outta gsm arena! no one cares wat u can afford. I for one think this is a good innitiative kudos. give us more cheap but quality stuff.
