Why do most of the phone companies look down on the African market?I mean whenever a new phone is released,all the good headphones and all are removed replaced with cheap stuff..We spend the money as well on the phones just as Europe and all. I think we also deserve the goodies....

I just hope that,when its released in Africa (Kenya). For once Sony leaves all the goodies in the box instead of replacing them with cheap headphones etc..

The problem with sony is that their phones are too expensive. If they want to get a fair share of the mobile market esp. against apple and samsung they can start by significantly dropping the price of this phone and start selling them like pancakes.

One big mistake that Sony made in Xperia Z was not included the killing features like the DualQCore and 4G RAM. I guess Sony should refresh its Xperia Z before Samsung releases the S4 to have DualQCore and 4G RAM. For sure S4 will kill Xperia Z just a single click.

I still dont understand why people compare this phone to a yetto be released phone. When that Samsung s4 releases the compare these two. Till then accept the fact that sony has done a good job with this cell phone.

"Turning off the apps while the screen is off" sounds a lot like Juice Defender Ultimate to me - it's not saving power while doing actual stuff with the phone.
Sony has a history of having terrible battery efficiency in their current models -so my friends who got these wonderful modern-designed units have been complaining.
Let's see how the XZ can hold at least 12 hours of actual continuous working time, not just the conservation of power while the screen is off.

Denzo, 15 Feb 2013The other thing that kills me is how hype everyone is getti... morere water proofness, because companies like sony and apple are probably fed up of people claiming the phone failed for reasons other than dropping them in the loo, so by actually making them water resistant, they are reducing the chances of this happening, although if a port is open, the water proofing will have no effect.
