it's only 4.7" but it is almost the same size as the xperia z. difference is only 2 mm in height. they could have put a larger battery with that or at least a card slot.

looks like samsung will win this year again. i really want sony to do well but with the kind of display it has, i doubt if buyers who have become used to galaxies and htcs will be swayed to get a device with not so good looking displays.

Anonymous, 19 Feb 2013This phone will have the current foresee issues because of ... moreI think side/front speakers are ideal and often wondered why no one's been doing it. Rear speaker is ridiculous as most of the time you want to use speakerphone you have the phone lying down - hence covering the speaker.

As for your points 1 & 2, slightly adjust how you hold it so you don't cover the speakers - it's hardly inconvenient and people hold their phones differently so not likely to be a problem for many.

And like most current screen protectors, there'll be a cut out for the speakers and front camera so don't see the issue.

And as for the grills getting dirty/clogged... well I haven't had much trouble with my earpiece grills/holes over the years. Nothing that an occassional wipe of a damp cloth won't keep sorted. Now if your the grotty type who doesn't clean their phone until it gets to the point where you can't see the screen from all the muck... well... better less said I think.

Bring on side / top / bottm mounted speakers for all I say!

AnonD-107998, 19 Feb 2013if only they make Z smaller, 4" maybe. then Z is for m... moreThe Z probably won't have any smaller versions of itself. A smaller 4"/4.3" mid-range phone might be released by Sony to replace their mid-range products. But I don't think a smaller flagship will be released.

If you want a small flagship, I think HTC One is your best bet. Although the X phone and S4 are just around the corner, I highly doubt that either of those will go below 5", let alone 4.7".

But wow! The interface of the One looks fantastic! :drools:

[deleted post]Bro, I'm currently using incredible 2 with 4" screen, came from S2.

I tawt that 4.3" screen on S2 was too big, so I switch something smaller.

until my spouse gets Sensation XL 4.7" display, and I'm like... Wow! :D

I realize that if you want to push it, rather go with 4.7" than 4.3"...

I can never play game again on my Incre2 after watching my wife's, my phone looks like midget.. LOL

And oh, you can't have android flagship on 4" screen. But you still can dream about it sampai tua, hahahaha....
