HTC One hands-on video comes ahead of official announcement

19 February, 2013
The screen on the One is apparently a 4.7" Super LCD 3 at 1080p. Update: YouTube took the video down.

AnonD-107998, 19 Feb 2013i love sony design, esp RAY and Z, but this ONE is just awe... moreI'm on the same boat here. The Z looks awesome, but HTC One has newer CPU, more convenient size, better quality screen, higher ppi and from the hands-on video - a very neat interface too. I can't decide which one to go for, esp having been an HTC user for more than a year now.

First world problems at its best! :P

Everything seems nice until you see that small battery. I guess HTC are trying to keep their tradition alive even with phones with such a battery-hogging screen. I would like to see a battery test done but I'm not sure how reliable GSMArena's battery tests are now since they gave such a good score for the iPhone 5 (which actually has horrible battery life according to my friends).

On another note, I'd like to wait till Motorola announces their so-called "X Phone" as that will apparently have a Maxx-like battery. Battery life is one of my main concerns. Having a 1080p screen would be nice but if I only have enough juice to last me 10 hours then I can't have that. I'm struggling with my Galaxy Nexus so I have to carry a spare wherever I go. Just work on your batteries HTC because I have to say that out of all the UIs, your one looks the nicest.

This phone will have the current foresee issues because of the speaker layout.

        1. Landscape mode .. both speakers will be covered by fingers..
        2. port mode.. bottom speakers will be covered by fingers..
        3. overtime .. dirt from fingers will get into speaker grills .. as they are often touched.
        4. screen protector cannot cover the entire front of the screen + speaker grills.

Hope HTC can address these issues.

No match for Galaxy S4, once again Galaxy will obliterates the competition

Really beautiful phone.but I hope HTC this time bring at least a very good camera that can compete with upcoming galaxy S4 and iPhone 5s plus better software optimization with light UI.

Specs are just Awesome ..... and I think so will be the price ..

As far as battery is concerned , I will think this much will do a good job coz the processor is very efficient one , screen though Full HD but still is 4.7 and Sense 5 is little simpler(speculated)... so fingers crossed for this beast.... :)

but there is too much big difference of 2,300mAh compared 3,140 mAh.

                              LG Optimus G PRO
has better 3,140 mAh REMOVABLE BATTERY.

                              HTC One
                              has small 2,300mAh NON-REMOVABLE BATTERY?

Battery capacity is not just measured using milli amps. It has few more things which you dont know. So lets see which one wins in the realtime test. And in recent days, HTC has a very good power management(check out the DNA/Butterfly).

[deleted post]LG pro is has 5.5" screen. It should consume more battery. LG pro is also 6ft tall and 3ft wide. Only half of it will go inside shaq's pocket.

i love sony design, esp RAY and Z, but this ONE is just awesome

for me it's very tough to choose between Z and the ONE. Z offer waterproof (very important feature, IMO), and this ONE offer latest tech in smaller form

samsung? love to wait. but the design is just not for me, even they offer better feature(software)

you can't change the hardware, but you can do anything with software
