The plastic is not that bad...How many beat us S3's have you seen recently? People change up the backing as soon as it gets scratched and your phone looks good all the time. The aluminum casing gets scratched easy and look like a mess in a short period of time (dont get me wrong I like the quality feel of the aluminum but I also like to hold my phone outside of a case).

The combined sales of HTC, Motorola, Sony and LG could not reach even half the sales of the PLASTIC Samsung. What could be the reason for this? Why people are not willing to buy the glass and metal covered phones? Why are they buying only the PLASTIC Samsung in millions and how did they make Samsung S3 which is made up of a flimsy plastic back cover as the world's no. 1 selling smartphone?

But then I got a SGS2 in 2011 and now a SGS3 in 2012 and I can't imagine myself holding a non-AMOLED device anymore. It's all about the feature you most like or use rather than the complete set of specs. If the next galaxy has an AMOLED, I really wouldn't care about the processor or benchmarks!
Similarly, there are people who want a camera phone and they simply love their N8 or PureView 808 and think of others as useless & crappy because they just don't give a ×÷=+ to whatever else specs are offered.
