The payment will only charge using one of many many USB charging wires.
I don't understand why all the others do not work.
Some of them have previously worked - but no longer do.
Someone said that I will have to buy original Sony cables. I will do so to see if it makes a difference.

my sony xperia z2 wont turn on.
i tried all methods using power button with volume up or down or camera button , and the switch beside the sim card slot.
but othing works for me , i used 4 different usb and when i try to connect it to pc it doesn't connect.
then i open the back and remove the battery, it starts, but after two days same problem arise and nothing works, only red light blinks when i connect to charger pin.

Had My Z5C since launch day in the UK, last week it wouldn't charge when around my friend's house and when I got home to use the QuickCharge Adapter I usually use, there was still nothing.
After trying all the combinations of things offered over the internet, I purchased a new battery and charger port, I always find that batteries tend to start acting up after a year or so and heavily degrade and cause issues around the two year mark, so thought it was a good thing to do anyway.
Upon replacing both the charger port and battery (I've worked with mobile phones and computer equipment for many years, so it wasn't anything new to me), the issue still persisted.
The battery drained extremely quickly, I barely had enough time to backup all my data and move it to the SD Card, as the device is still unrecognised by any computer, it even makes the noise when it's plugged into a USB Charger (even comes out of battery saver mode) but alas not a single ounce of charge and no charging symbol.
The original battery was a bit of a mess, the covering had all bubbled due to the year and a half+ of insane temperatures put out by the device.

As much as it pains me to say it, I've considered that this may well be my last Sony phone, at least for a while. The constant overheating, the ludicrously high battery drain, the poor RAM management (I would only have a standard amount of apps and keyboard would sometimes force close when typing fast etc) and plagued with issues with many a firmware update, and with none of their newer phones really appealing to me for their price (needs to be better than the Z5C but with NONE of the issues and a similar size), I may have to switch out after a pretty consistent history.
I've been an avid Sony user for many many years, before the K700, however my ordeal with this has put me off severely.
Saying that, even Samsung have been plagued with issues. Friend's having "moisture in port" issues (when not having been near such) on the S7 and S8, so it's not like it's an easy thing to just get a phone that works flawlessly these days it seems. :/

Less than two years with a semi-flagship phone should not be the maximum, manufacturers need to up their warranty periods, regardless of how fast technology improves.

Recently updated my Xperia Z5 to Android 7.1.1. When I was using it afterwards the screen just went black, everything died. Not even a charge light would come on. Went through all the things suggested, and nothing is bringing this phone back to life. Not sure if the update had anything to do with it, but I am shocked. I have never had a phone last such a short amount of time. Since I bought the International model (E6653?) I was told I have to send it overseas just to have it looked at. But, from what I understand, Sony no longer does there own support in the U.S. anyway. Such a huge disappointment.

Ok bear with me. My wife's Z5 premium died over a month ago when she restarted it. It never came back to life. I tried ALL the resets. It showed zero signs of life. I took it to a repair centre. They couldn't fix it. I tried again this morning. I had been getting the red LED for a few seconds when I plugged it in with the screen showing the charging symbol but the phone wouldn't do anything else. It went black and the LED went out. So what I did was plugged it in and as soon as the LED went red, I held the power button and volume down button and it came back to life. It seems to be charging normally. I've left it to charge for the day and will see when I get home. It needs an update so that will be the first thing I do. I will update further later

I've tried every single method and I just can't make the phone work Again, I got the blinking red led when connected to a wall or computer, Any button combination wont work, not even the sim reset button, I tried the test point and is also useless, I left the phone charge for 2 days with no results, I unplugged the battery for several hours and also got nothing to work. My phone is the xperia z5 premium, I might just give up on this, I really loved this phone and its not even a year old.

I'm binning my Z3 - it's too unreliable. Sonny should admit to the problems that plague this junk and offer refunds.

simple answer my experia has plagued me with issues never again a sony, unable to get support online and seeing how many others are having the same issue. SONY used to be a trusted name in electronics, but would appear they have dropped their game and are heading to a KOGAN level
