[deleted post]If that is so, then also explain why Sony has acknowledged the issue and working on the fix? You might want to stop being a blind Sony fan and look around for what is happening in real world.

im not a fanboy at all. i have had lots of phones with different brands with different OS and the only thing which is important for me is to enjoy using my phones. right now i have S3, XZ and IP5 and i near future i will buy S4 as well. so the only important thing for me is the joy of using different materials and right now my XZ is my best phone. waiting to see how S4 performs.
this issue will be solved like that SOD of S3.

I'm a bit confused as to the problem those users are having. When they say their phone suddenly die on them, does it mean the phone turns off and they can't turn the phone on no matter what they try? If so, how does one perform a software update if one can't even turn their phone on?

There is no particular reason for the
                            occurrence.

samsung will sue sony for its sudden death issue

samsung will investigate wether the chips of s3 is the same with sony z

Poorly tested phones. Really no two ways about it.

They hyped up the Arc and Arc S back in the day. While granted that was made completely out of plastic, two week into sales people started reporting cracking above the proximity sensor. Sony never fixed the issue. Sure they extended the warranties but what's the point of replacing the entire housing when the crack returns just a few weeks later? It was not only a design flaw, it was failed follow-up customer support (notably with the fact that all 2011 Xperia devices have been denied the JB update, and given buggy ICS updates with no fixes planned, like the Xperia Play which got stuck with GB).

As an Arc S owner, I will have to say I am not surprised. And I will not be surprised if Sony ditches the Z from it's update program in less than 12 months time (though it should be getting the Key Lime OS at least).

And we all remember when their 2012 flagship, the Xperia S, got released with yellowing screens (though for Sony's benefit they fixed that after a few LCD revisions).

Yeah. While unimpressed with Sony, I'm not surprised. I'll probably end up getting a Japanese-market intended phone (which have been water proof for half a decade), get it unlocked and be happy.
