HTC had 5" 1080p screen and they wanted to be first to the market with it. So, they slapped together a DNA - apriori a very conflicted phone (large monitor, weak battery, no memory) and threw it out on the market.
IMHO that was a stupid strategy, they did not think through the consequences, all they created is bad word of mouth and upset customers.

Anonymous, 31 Mar 2013That what i dont like about htc.. Its like people have no c... moreOf course, you should decide what HTC should or should not do. :-) This is not communism, son. You want to decide - have your own company, then you can let your clients decide what your company should do (I bet you would not let them).

Damn I really like the recent htc flagships, but u guys have a good point. I hate that htc introduce like 2-3 flagships a year, when other major competitors have only 1. And it really sucks. They released droid DNA and after 4 months or so, the ONE, that's a mistake. People who have bought DNA are probably thinking now "I shout have waited a bit more".
I also want to buy htc one, but I'm pretty sure they will release one+ after some time, so I'll probably wait for it..

No, this is totally wrong. The thing is that even i was searching for HTC droid DNA on verizon's website but i didn't got it. Then i had a chat with Verizon's customer sales executive and then he informed that its available at this address only. https://preorder.verizonwireless.com/iconic/

i dont like samsung but no wonder why they are on top because they dont do stuff like this i respect them for that unlike htc and lg

not a surprise htc comes with a flagship every other month,, haha there wil b another htc onle plus, then htc one 2 , than htc two n so on with just minor updates like 13mp bcoz one has only 4 regardless the ubber fail ultra pixel technology they could have added the 13 mp camera with this ultra pixel technology would have surely gaven them a chance to unrests4 but majority of the folks will not even consider it bcoz of 4 mp camera even my nokia asha has an 8 mp camera , jesus

That what i dont like about htc.. Its like people have no choice but to accept what htc decided the fate of their flagships..

I want to like htc but this is the main reason I stay away from it they can't keep a flagship device premium for a year they keep changing their flagships in 4 months time, no matter how much solid feel it gives but ones you buy a flagship device and after 6 months you see that 2 more flagship models have been released it doesnt feel premium then
I used to hate samsung because of their built quality but they are good on this thing plus they dont hang like htc , I learned this after using s3

The one x was a flagship also which died faster than there marketing contracts were up for the device

And the htc one will have the same results. Htc doesnt have enough solid htc users, its there fault from all the android devices they released with horrible batteries. Bad user expeience equals byebye customers

Tell me about it. The 808 PureView was also retired just as quickly by Nokia when it would have probably sold like hotcakes compared to its new Lumia series.

Thankyou Verizon, we never wanted it.

I'm sure the sales will show that as well.
