Anonymous, 10 Apr 2023I like this SoC. Except the fact that it's manufactured on 28nm size, which is already too big compared to it's competitor since 2021. Better getting an Unisoc T606 or Helio G37 on this phone though.

As tired as I see companies keep launching phones with Snapdragon 695, keep launching low-end phones with SC9863 is just worse in my opinion.

And Xiaomi phones with microUSB like Redmi A2 and 12C are cheaper and better specced than this because HTC likes to overprice even their ODM phones. Ironically, even Xiaomi poor software support is still miles ahead of HTC now.
This HTC is even worse than phones from Tecno and Infinix, so I doubt it will sell well in the African countries.

Wrong. Only wildfire series is ODM.
The Desire series is still 100% htc and made in Taiwan.

Anton-, 10 Apr 2023More trash!!!Sadly,yes. I had a HTC One 8. Possibly the best phone I have ever had considering what the opposition was at that period of time. Had about 60 albums of music loaded onto a memory card, they sounded divine listening to them through decent Sennheiser wired earphones. None of these crappy modern day earbuds !
