For anyone that is interested: i) This mobile phone costs around the same as a motorcyle/two wheeler, which itself is yet to penetrate all segments of the society ii) Also, theft is a major problem in all cities and towns and the law cannot help with this at this time, and finally iii) These phones mostly help with ego more than anything else because more than half the smartphone users are not on data plans. I will wait for some one to ask me what my point is, exactly.

AnonD-31561, 09 Apr 2013Well, wait for the Galaxy S4 price then!i Dont think S4 wil go higher than 40k and even if it does , it has got an octacore processor and a 5 inch screen , it deserves it :D and anyway samsung flagships have a well defined pattern of pricing it will come down in a months time and stabalise around lower 30K's and then go towards 28K around the end of year, look at the history of s2 and s3 pricing

India is better with middle range mobiles like Micromax. There is no need to introduce such expensive phones in the market which only a few people will buy.

India is a market for lower end mobiles. By increasing the price this much, companies try to gain every bit of profit they can from the sale of few high end mobile phones.

Its price is.significantly higher. Xperia z is priced at 38000. Also htc has tied up with reliance providing 1gb 3g for 3 months, which has bad reputation. Z provides 8gb 3g for three months with vodafone.....
htc need some effective marketing to Survive
