You got to be joking me.
@HTC, haven't u learn anything from ur previous fails ( i m hinting towards ur Q1 Profit reports)? At least keep the price near its competitors. Price tag of 43000Rs will not attract many buyers. i was waiting for this phone since the launch of Xperia z ( which is available with a price tag of 35,600 in mkt. Now i guess i will go with Xperia Z

Don’t embarrass yourself and the rest of us here with your nationalism. This being a global forum, your point, though may be valid, risks being seen as an immature bluster by an uninformed individual.

You can however, rephrase your statement as "some indians can..." and you would be correct. Long post, sorry, work is done and got nothing else to do today.

Sony Xperia Z is selling at Rs. 37,900..Additional 5k (about $100) for HTC one isn't worth it.

If there is someother mobile that is close to HTC One, if not as good as, with a lesser price tag, the crowd will definately compromise on some of the stuff and will go get the cheaper phone.

once again wrong pricing of their smartphones. At roughly $780, the HTC One is over priced.
The galaxy s4 is a much better handset than the One & is bound to be launched at approx $700-749. I see little chance of the HTC One getting huge success in India.

None of the HTC flagships have ever got successful in the country.

Not everyone can afford in USA as well, thats why they love $99 iphones on 2 year contracts over there, high debt levels and high costs of living causes a lot of people to have virtually nothing left after the house mortgage, health insurance, education plans, car loan and ofcourse the phonebill are all paid.

Surely HTC doesn't need any one else to take them down, they are in self-destruct mode. If they want to compete in India then they should have compromised a bit and placed it under 40k.
