Just a matter of investigating a bit. In my opinion looks much better and organised than Android or IOS.

The IDE might be the same for programming in the three OSes using .Net but the APIs(available instructions) are not, except the very very basic ones. Just try compiling the same code in different projects relating to different OSes! That's why you don't have the exactly the same apps on WP store and WinRT one. BTW, show me the Office version for WP8!

i like the idea of WP and intend to get me one this year, but microsoft tends to think everything is about live tiles! one update brings the ability to chose tiles' colour and the other being able to resize them and the next mjor update increasing the number of raws upto 4!!!
microsoft should imo give the option for other launchers, maybe ones with multible home screens and true widgets!

Anonymous, 12 Apr 2013Less selling brands may come to an end in near future, who ... moreWP users were minority until it is shown their rapid increase in market shares internationally which is quietly posted here somewhere. Therefore, your logic failed badly. Minority of people are left non-brain-washed and are using quality products so 'Nokia' forgetting the former king of Mobile phones not to mention the real inventor of mobile phones will never die. Get your facts straight, they have been here for a time and they know every strategy of it. Yeah they does made silly mistakes in past but that can be overcome sooner or later and believe me, it will happen.

WHen u write f.ex a game using XNA, u just select the platform u want to compile for. Three platforms (W8/WP8/Xbox - maybe there is more - i use visual studio 2010), three clicks - i know 'coz i'm playin with XNA in my free time (nothing complex, just for fun).

Same is for wtriting apps for live tile interface. Just a cklick for different output. This is the point for whole .Net platform.
