Internal testing reveals that the Apple Vision Pro is too heavy, Apple considers a solution

26 June 2023
The solution is simple enough - a strap to help spread the weight - but that might cost extra.

Only those will buy who have plenty amount of money and don't know where to spend it wisely.
They go and purchase this type of products.

This is so apple-like, it is their identity at this point.

Apple expiry has arrived( 3500$ headset with no band and external battery with only 2 hours batterylife!) to achieve only a big monitor that gives you headache in an hour

Apple announces Vision Pro Lite. Only 1999*

        * Vision Pro Lite Headset device not included, as it is not essential to experience Liteness, just look at your wallet.

So It's expensive, too heavy, looks like scuba goggles, won't have Apples true backing (they're not going to go all in like Xbox or Playstation would in creating and curating new content for it, just sit back and hope others sort it out for them) and it's an attempt at an AR headset that is a VR headset design. Meaning that it looks perfectly fit for private use like watching a movie or playing a game but for real world AR use and walking around with it daily? It just does not look like a design revolution that would make that normalised or comfortable for regular people to use at events etc.

All in all, they've got a competent VR approach (but way too expensive for that) while the price and realistic use cases for AR don't justify the machine.

And you'll probably only get a few years of updates.......Apple has become stingy in regard to OS updates.....My MBP is only going to receive like 4 years of updates......

Im still in shock that my MBP I purchased for $3,000 back in 2018 brand new......I think it was actually the 2017 MBP model.......and after only 4-5 years of ownership and Apple wont update it in September.....,I’ve really began questioning the validity of Apple computers.....Steve Jobs would give Mac users like 8-10 years of updates......I

Considering how much Apple ask for the screen wiping rag then this strip will probably cost a lot

                                    Anonymous, 26 Jun 2023I predict incoming lawsuits https://nypost.com/2022/01/29/... more"GAMES ARE BREAKING PEOPLE'S NECKS!!! THEY'RE KILLING PEOPLE!!!)!9uq32"

VR headsets have been around for nearly a decade and this is the first reported case of this happening. Heck, the guy must've been playing some intense game that required you to twist your neck often to end up breaking his neck like that.

The Vision Pro is heavier than something like an Quest, obviously. Using aluminium and glass will do that. But it'll require you to move your neck a lot less often because of the eye-tracking stuff, and the OS and apps being centered around that.
Compare that to an Quest headset being lighter because it just uses plastic, but because it lacks eye tracking (or at least, eye tracking like Apple) you'll have to move your neck around a bit more often to see an option.

Will the Vision Pro be used for gaming? Eh. Probably not, or at least not to the extent of actual proper gaming-focused headsets that cost like, what, 11 times cheaper?
Also, the only example we've seen of a game on Vision so far is an iPad NBA game.

Will there be lawsuits? I mean, if enough cases of this happen and someone gets angry, probably. But I doubt that will actually happen since this does seem like a more severe case.
Just casually using a headset won't break your neck, wildly moving your neck to play a game for ages on end will.
