      If you're familiar with Microsoft HoloLens, it's not a real surprise. After all, making a standalone PC in an goggle-like body will add a tonne of weight.

                Perhaps there will be a "Lite" version that's... lighter?

                  Not really a shock is it, Apple have previous for being stingy.

                      Forget the high price. Why would anyone in his right mind pay ANYTHING for a device that enables "Ready Player One" dystopia? Why give a corporation control over your perception of reality? The headset's eye-tracking cameras can analyze your reaction and read your thoughts- why give the ultimate power to corporations? Has society gone mad?

                        Yikes… this kind of strategy might work with other products, but on a new segment that a lot of consumers are already skeptical about, with a very compromised product that very few can afford… I don’t know chief.

                          Also, when comparing the weight of a VR headset to something like headphones, keep in mind that the bulk of a VR headset's weight is in front of you, while for headphones it's split on either side of you (and much easier to balance over the top of your head).
