They should change the one word in the name from Star to waste and it would really make sense. Wildfire E Star to Wildfire E Waste as it even rimes like that.

Hemedans, 08 Aug 2023Its Probably not HTC who made that phone, same as how HMD m... more#News Group of companies investing in HMD Global are struggling to profit from HMD Global, and the risk of failing to repay HMD Global debt has increased dramatically.
Fundraising conducted by HMD Global was unsuccessful in 2022, and now the company closely monitors the level of debt of their businesses, and tries to evaluate whether they can still continue the sustainability of their business and especially the risk of overdue debts, now there is a risk of default payment regarding this thing.
By the fourth quarter of 2022, HMD Global businesses are restructured to achieve significant synergy and cost-efficiency. HMD Global Council decides to extend Series A2 funding cycle. At the end of 2022, the rounds are still open and HMD Global management continue to discuss closing the rounds in 2023.
HMD Global is now continuing to read and respond to markets carefully, especially market competition movements, to understand market stock status to determine how market conditions can recover from current turbulence.
For the invested group, the loss of the market and the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war caused HMD Global to reduce and even cancel the feature phone Nokia and now the Group faces the problem of the number of products ordered very little and the cost required is increasing.
The bottom line: HMD Global is currently surrounded by large amounts of debt, and is seeking a large profit to pay off the debt. There are many products that are cancelled or reduced in number, especially feature phone Nokia. There are many investors who are reluctant to invest, because they are not profitable. But investors who have already invested heavily are now demanding a refund of the cost that has been given.
So this is the reason why Nokia phone use ODM design, the processor is just that (Ehm SC9863A), not make Flagship, not use SD7 series and so on.
Anyway they are now facing bankruptcy.

My Huawei P9 Lite from 2016 was a better phone than this

Hemedans, 08 Aug 2023Its Probably not HTC who made that phone, same as how HMD m... moreIn fact it definitely isn't HTC making these, it's one, or multiple of several ODM companies. Wingtech, Huaqin or even Lava, Micromax, Karbonn could be the one(s) behind the Wildfire series.

The Albion, 08 Aug 2023Is it ? Would a TAIWANESE company want / allow their brandi... moreSad to see, but the entire Wildfire series is licensed to ODM companies, then HTC just puts their name on them and done.

The U series is different, it's also made by ODM companies, but it's actually HTC asking them to make such phones.
